Why do I look really good on some pictures and look ugly on some other ones?

I think this has something to do with the photogragher, and the lights, background, something else. Even the pretty ones will choose the good pictures to post or print. It's not a big deal.

Probably just a lighting thing.

Also angles.

Angle, lights, background conditions, quality of camera, skill of photographer, etc.

Plus maybe you just look better somedays than you do on others.

Yes I understand how it can be from lightning but it astounds me how much of a different person I look like from one picture to another. It seems as though I'm a different person. I'm looking though my FB photos right now and there's too much of a gap between pictures...

Yes but Facebook seems to be "life" to the opposite sex nowadays which makes it a bit annoying. The world is changing very fast....

Well when the sun aligns with the earth the sunlight hits the camera at a certain point. Using the theoritical theory that sun light + 1 looking-hotter-in-a-photo=hotter looking you when the sun aligns with the earth in a picture means that you will look better. But wait, why does that matter.

Well lets delve into that theoritical theory. You got sun light, but sun light only when the earth aligns with the sun. What does that mean? Its pretty self explanotory. You add that with a hotter looking you, right? But whats that one mean? Well lets say you are a 5 out of 10 on hotness scale when the theoritcal theory is no sun light= normal hotness. Wait, normal hotness? Yes, thats correct. Everyone thinks they look better and when they see this normal sunlight they freak out. Anyways back to the point. The "one" states that the sun light makes you look like a 6 out of 10, which is a considerable increase from your normal ugliness, mediocore looking ness.

But, wait! You're saying that I usually look really ugly? Yes, when you look at your image in the mirror a chemical in your brain makes you think you look better. But wait, your mom always thought she was ugly? Good point, when you have kids this chemical goes away so that they can bi*** all their life (of being a mother). Once agian, back to the point. But a picture, that chemical doesn't work. But the sunlight, some how without a mirror, makes you think you look better. Thus the theoritical theory that sun light + 1 looking-hotter-in-a-photo=hotter looking you.

Hope this helped!

Perspectives and lighting.

A lot of people don't look good in photos if they don't know how to do it right. Could also be you looked like crap that day. Hair, face color, bags under eyes, dirty, tired, etc. Stuff like that will make a picture look bad.

That is a very real possibility.

I'd also like to submit the possibility that sometimes he looks good, and sometime he just plain looks bad.

Could be either/or, or a combination of both.

Lighting, angles, whichever is your 'good side', quality of the camera etc. I tend to find I look better in photos not taken by myself.

Photographic technique can be more important than you might think. The same subject can look VASTLY different depending on the conditions. Lens/perspective/lighting can matter a LOT.

Alternatively...maybe you just plain looked really bad that day. There's no shame in that, everyone looks like **** sometimes.

Greatest question ever. lol Some pictures I'm like, "I look pretty sharp." and in others I'm like "Wow, that's fugly." lol. Typically it's the lighting and can sometimes be the fidelity of the camera. I usually think it's funny and just laugh it off. Henestly, I thought it was just me.
