I'm from Long Island and I don't look down on anybody.
I will say though, I enjoy New York more than any other city I've been to.
New Yorkers may be a little rough around the edges, but honestly, NY has some of the nicest people you'll ever meet.
While it does sound like a bit of a stereotype to assume "new yorkers" think they're better than everyone, I still think it should be expressed. I've heard of people like Tucker Carlson who say things about Canada like "anyone with any ambition or intelligence at all in that country has left Canada and is now living in New York"; that kind of stuff turns me off from wanting to go there. It's kind of like the Game Gear ads in a sense; being that condescending makes me less inclined to do what the person saying them seems to be implying I should be doing.matthayter700
Well we can't take Tucker Carlson seriously. He's a blow-hard.
