Why do people ask for girl advice on Gamespot?

Aren't you supposed to ask that to your actual friends in real life? It's just a call away. Call your friends (if you have any), and ask them for advice. Not the people on Gamespot. What would they know? They're don't even know you personally. And you don't know them personally. So why bother and ask them for help? Just saying..

tbh, I've always assumed that the majority of them are making the stories up, and are just doing it for the lulz.

Some people prefer the anonymity. Also, if your real-life friends are losers (which is often the case if you have a hard time meeting & talking to girls), you could use a different point of view.
