Really i don't understand why people make a big deal of it and consider it a crime or a sin . Like my friend was caught once by his mother and father watching porn , so what they do ! Guess what they hit him , confiscate his pc , ground him for 4 months (and counting :P ) take him to a priest to confess , and they got mad at him a lot , it is not like he just killed someone really , and guess what i am the one that they blame :P so his parents call my parents :p and my parents just laugh them and stay cool with me :P And also all my friends are terrified to watch porn , they consider it as one dangerous and huge adventure :P And they are so scared from their parents that they are at the point of collapsing :P Ok i know it is not that good , but come on it is not a sin nor one of the ten comandements :P but come on it's not that much of a deal :P It is not like god is gonna come and kill you while you are sleeping.

Are you sure you put enough smilies in your post? But to the topic it is silly, and what's crazy was in response to him doing a natural human thing they used physical violence against him? Whatever...

Because pornography is against human dignity, and you would be contributing to it if you watch it. Also because of lust.

I agree! Also, where do you think the crime of rape starts? In the mind starting with lust. Think of how many marriages would be saved if they obeyed the 7th commandment. Adultery starts with lust (Matt. 5-7). Not to mention that the suicide rate among porn stars is stunningly high. There is nothing good about porn. It is selfish and does nothing but cause damage.

Since when? We have been trading money/goods/ect for sex since the dawn of man.

Porn goes against *your* religious/moral/whatever beliefs, but it is very much human nature.

Human nature is obtaining the goods money etc, while sex is a mean of doing so and thus sex for money is not a genuine desire of human nature. if the money was not there, then you would not do it. Thus it is not your human nature to do so. oh and i'm athiest btw.

Dude, rape is rarely about lust. It is almost exclusively a way to damage and dehumanize a person both psychologically and physically. That's why straight men commit rape in prison.

It can also be caused because of sexual disorders. Many rapers have psychological issues.

Uh, no, not even close. This was going on well before the concept of money was even around. Obtaining sex is human nature, and so is all the way in which we do so. Whether it be by romance, trading of goods/money, protection, security, cerimonial, procreation, force, ect ect.

It's is VERY much a part of human nature and is old as recorded history.

If there is one thing we can count on in human nature is man's obsession with all things sex.

Do you use emoticons as puctuation?

Porn IS a sin. It falls under lust, but having pre marital sex is a sin. So is lying, cheating, stealing, cursing God's name, arrogance. The list goes on, man. Your friends parents shouldn't have gone off their rockers over porn. Abosolutly no one is completly absent of sin.

He wasn't saying porn was the catalyst, but lust in general. Lust has been around since the dawn of man, as has rape, as has infidelity. Also, to the one who said that rape is rarely lust-driven and is just a way to humiliate and dehumanize a person... :| Come on... We all think of doing things that go against society's wishes, but the only difference between us and malcontents is that the train of thought stops within our mind. I majored in psychology, and you can give it all the sugar-coated labels you want, but in the end it is a problem with self-restraint usually brought upon by some mental fragility. "Those people" aren't much different than you and I, mio fratello.
