Why do people drink alcohol? [Poll]

its relaxing i guess. i rarely drink to get ----faced. just fun to have a few beers with friends on the weekend or a glass or two of wine after work.

Same here, though I mostly drink it to relax. My party days were long ago. One or two cocktails before bed is enough for me.

It's an acquired taste... though when I was allowed a taste of beer I thought it tasted as bad as vaseline...EboyLOL

Vodka tonic is much better....thankfully I am well stocked in the beverage.

Party without alchohol =/= party.

I drink when I am socialising and I get drunk when I am at a party. I find its much easier to talk to people I don't know after 3-4 beers :)

I don't drink, but I've had a few tastes. It tastes like utter, genuine crap, only difference is it's fizzy. I never got drunk, and I don't really want the hangover, thank you.

My guess is that people drink because people are stupid.

The only reason i drank alcohol was the way it made me feel. But i dont drink anymore and havent for years now, mostly because i just hate the taste.

when i drink its usually a combination of just wanting to go out and have fun, and to crawl inside a bottle for a few hours and just forget my problems. Drinking is not a solution as the problems are still there when you sober up, but it makes it better for that little while ur hammered.

Drink of choice? Long islande ice tea baby! they dont even taste like liquor even though they are like 100% liquor, except for that little squirt of coke they put in to add color =)

I think drinking is stupid. Especially at my age (I'm 15).

Yet, I seem to be the only of my age who isn't interested in drinking.

What beers have you tried?

Budweiser(way to watered down), Tuborg, Carlsberg, Guinness, Heineken, Berliner, Royal.

Those are what i could think of now, there are properly more that i have tasted.

Youngers persons do so so that they appear cool and grown up but most of the time because of their inexperience and immaturity they do the worst mistake,they blend drinks and end up wrecks.they rest do so because some drinks taste good and you can "lighten up" a little,but everyone must stop when feeling that they had too much,because thenext dayis going to be really harsh.
