why do people from gamefaqs hate on people from gamespot?

i don't get it. why does it matter what website you go to?

i've only been here for..idk a year and a half or so, so im not really understanding of the history but i know that the two websites go merged. BUt there seems to some hostility comeing from the gamefaqs side. keep in mind this is only from MY personal experiences but i've seen posts such as go away gamespotter" and "you ignorant idiot....of coarse you come from gamespot"

if somebody could just explain this to me it would be much appreciated.

I don't know....but then I don't post over there.

Because we can quote, and post images, and have a posting history. Gamefaqs users might have a way to see their posting history, but I haven't found it yet :(blackslim3000

Usually most idiotic posts ocme from the GS side, so people have blown that out of proportion and labelled all GSers as idiots. A large majority of trolls from the GS side are just GF users who use GS to bypass restrictions.EJ902

I'll tell you why!

I've had my past life of being on GF and I can easily tell you why they hate us. We have everything they have to earn from the get-go and more! What we can do in a single day they have to save up for months just to do. You have to be what, level 20 over there just to see your posting history? They hate us because there are more things to do over here and with jealousy comes hate. Icons, videos, posting pictures without having to link it, we can do it all AND more. They despise it.

As for us being idiots, it's pretty clear that half of them over there are no better than us. Have you seen some of there boards? Their reviews? They do the same thing we do around here, yet they refuse to admit it and deny it every time.

They just refuse to see the truth behind the matter.

And as for the "Same thing" thing,  Most gaminn-related things are shared between the two sites

but IMO, Gamefaqs is better than Gamespot.  Less harsh rules there =) 

I guess our "super posting levels" aren't high enough.

Any board that restricts and limits posting rights based on something as artifical and rude as "posting levels" makes me sick to my stomach. 

You communicate ideas on forums, and the quality of these ideas can't be measured quantatatively.  The quality of your ideas has no direct relationship with how long, how much, or how hard you post on an online forum.

Less harsh? Err...no. The mods on Gamefaqs actually know how to follow the TOS, and moderations tend to make sense. However, mod abuse is absolutely rampant here. Many things that should be modded are left alone, while other things are needlessly modded.
