Not all of it. People who completely dismiss almost anything are foolish. Life isn't black and white.
The world will end in a billion years when the sun expands. When the sun expands, it will heat up the Earth to a point where it will become uninhabitable and sooner and later, the sun will engulf and consume the Earth. Or the Earth could end.. tomorrow. How? The universe is like Russian roulette. There are rogue blackholes, quasars, asteroids, and maybe alien parasites, or whatever. However, the likelihood of any of that happening is the equivalent of anyone here on off-topic having a threesome with their favorite pornstars so there's nothing to be worried about and even when the sun expands, we'll be conquering and pillaging other planets while having relations with alien women 'cause that's how we humans roll. Of course, there's also nuclear wars and deadly viruses but again, very unlikely.
I never said it was. But I'm not going to live my life thinking that the world is out to get me.The majority of people are basically trying to be good. There is a lot of good in the world. Unfortunately, people's idea of what's "good" is mainly dictated by the media that they're exposed to. I understand the normalcy bias. It's a very natural, easy, and comfortable way to live. Everything is simple, everything is laid out for you just the way it is. No worries. I wish I could go back to it.

Given your stated reasons in the past for owning a gun: Yes. However I too own a gun and am fully willing to admit I own such a weapon in case of wild animals or break in. As such I also own a gun due to paranoia.

So you do hug whatever gun you do own?Shottayouth13-

And why do you believe the government will 'get' you one day? Methinks that if they wanted to they would have done it already. What's stopping them really?I don't believe that the government is after me, specifically. I believe that they have strategically given themselves (more accurately the executive branch) the power to target anyone or any group that they choose for almost no reason. Most of this happened post-9/11. I mean.. TSA is in some train stations now for Christ's sake. Homeland security bought 1.6 billion rounds of ammunition within the last year, enough to fund a 6 or 7 year ground war. The NSA openly admits that they keep everyone's emails and there's not a damn thing you can do about it.
So yeah.. they can come get any of us now.
