Money can u buy u materialistic things. Which CAN make you happy. But very rarely would it fullfill your life.
With money, you could buy everything; but, sometimes you can´t.
With money you could buy a lot of people, but not all the people.
With money, you could buy good moments of happiness; but not happiness
Another point, why is it people assume that someone who is wealthly suddenly lacks the ability to make friends, fall in love,or do anything a person lacking money can do? Money doesn't take away from these abilities, while money will only make life better, for the most part anyway. Wetall_basic
Could be because the person with the large amount of money is highly suspicious of everyone he/she meets as they may be wondering how genuine those other peoples motives are? Bill Gates married his childhood sweetheart, and it was rumored he did so because she was with him before he made all of his money.

"Money doesnt make happy, But im Happy they make money"
Anyways, money makes you happy untill a certain standard, a standard most of us Americans/europeans have already reached. When you will spend the next dollar you receive on bread it WILL make you happy. However we buy cars and tvs and stuff from our money, most of the time this isnt because we really need that tv or car, but because we CAN buy it and we like to show that we can. This will make us a little bit happier, but our neighbour that now doesnt have the newest model anymore will be less happy and therefore the 'amount of happyness' in that country will remain the same. The exact same situation can be implied to individuals, yes we can buy therapists with money and yes we can buy 'love' (depends where you live:roll:) but those things are said to make you happy but dont have to. And therefore more money doesnt directly make us better of. However getting more money because your doing a better job at work then your colly's has a bigger chance of improving your happines.
I wouldn't use celebrities as a good example to counter what I have to say. After all, loads of celebrities aren't very smart and became celebrities in the first place for commercialistic reasons, publicity, and such. Just because they have a lot of money and have been seen to not be too happy, doesn't mean money can't buy happiness. I think it's about how well YOU KNOW how to spend it.
What I'm saying is money can really increase your "level" of happiness in any case....For love, you get seek a therapist for relationships, thus you can inprove your relationship, therefore money in that case bought something that in turn contributed to love. With money, you can but college classes....such as psychology of happiness courses which have potential to make you a happier person. So yeah, it's not just materal goods that you can buy with money to possibly make you happy, but the mental improvements you can buy play a part as well....So if you think of it mentally, there's really nothing to lose in terms of how happy you can get.
Money cannot buy you everything. Material wealth is about it.MissRiotmakerI'm guessing you didn't read anything I said.

I don't need to read what you wrote when your topic pretty much answers everything. You're basically saying money can buy people everything, because apparantely material possession can make a person happy. Sure a happiness that is temporary. It can't buy love now can it? Maybe a local hooker from the corner. Can money bring back dead family members? Nope.

Can it buy Heaven? Can it buy God? Can it buy the universe? See where I'm heading with this... I hope so.
The only people who say this are poor.
Considering that a vast majority of failed marriages are due to money related problems, money could in fact have bought love AND happiness in those situations.
Considering those are the only 2 things that people say it cant buy its safe to say it can buy everything.
Everytime in life ive been unhappy it was due to lack of money. Money is everything. Anyone who thinks otherwise is a fool or poor or both.
Just because you feel sad being without money everybody must, huh? If I were poor or rich my feelings wouldn't change. people make do with what they have and live their lives. "The poor have what the rich wish they had."The only people who say this are poor.

I though for a minute "Yes you can" once I contemplated this. I mean, sure money is thought of as this green paper that you exchange for commodities, like a car, candy, vacations, and all those things traditionally kind of thought of when you think of money....But you hear people bringing up "money can't buy love", "money can't buy happiness" or really anything abstract, but consider this....Money can buy you therapy, a personal therapist, training to increase the capabilities of your brain, anger management, etc. It's like people forgot, or are just not admitting that indeed money can get you a better life directly through those things. So yeah, if you think about it money can better your life in just about every way. camreeno360
go buy yourself a therapist RIGHT NOW
A man needs enough money to live comfortably and have enough for savings. He nees food, shelter, clothing, enough saved to care for 6 months, and enough extra for impulse purchases when he sees something he likes, such as a Movie, a Coat, a game. Anything more then that isn't needed. I know millionaires who are stressed out every day. They work 24/7 to have their money, they have a dozen cars and 60" TVs in their bathroom. They can buy anything in the world, but may never experience the simple joy of lying on the grass, staring at the stars with the woman you love curled up next to you.
True happiness doesn't come from shaping the world and your environment to suit yourself, but finding your place in the world as it is.

If I were extremely wealthy, I would hide my wealth and live humbly while looking for someone to be with. Ever seen Coming to America?
I really find the notion that money can buy hapiness completly absurd. If someone is not happy, no amount of money is going to help them.
