I don't get it.

When they first arrived on the planet,I can see them curious about how well we would defend ourselves and how tough we would be to kill, not knowing our technology.

But now they know were are all a bunch of noobs.

They can stealth us, they have thermal vision, they shoot us with lasers from quarter-mile away with pin-point accuracy and have all sorts of deadly traps and weapons we can't even see until they're already set upon us.

All we have are guns and they're useless unless you got Jessie the Body Ventura mowing down half the jungle with a Rail Gun. And even then it's just dumb luck if you manage to nick one with a bullet.

On the other hand, Aliens are MUCH more evolved creatures. They've got acid blood, they've got pack-hunter instincts, they are insanely agile and they are much more dangerous as far as population-control is concerned. They're also excellent trackers and have genetically superior survival instincts.

So why even bother hunting humans, except to harvest them as hosts for Aliens? It's a no-contest.

Humans kill Aliens by the dozen, so clearly humans are the more challenging prey.

On the Alien planet, the movies where Predators hunt Aliens do much better at the box office. Here on Earth, the audiences much prefer seeing humans as the prey.

The human skull is much more aesthetically pleasing than a xenomorph (Alien) skull.

And technically, humans ARE aliens in their world.

Not too mention it takes up much less space on the wall.

i'd want to know why aliens would waste an interstellar trip just to grab a few humans to hunt for sport. seems a little excessive.

They should do like Dick Cheney and just go to some place where they scoop up humans for you, drop them in front of your gun and you pull the trigger; much more efficient use of time

From the comics and books extraordinary humans have always been the toughest prey for Predators.

First off, you gave away the plot to the new Predator movie. Secondly, when a predator accidentally shoots you in the face with one of their laser guns, it's gonna leave more than a bruise.

Why drive out into some woods to kill deer when you can just shoot at your neighbours, much more challenging when the cops come.

The real question is that how are we supposed to believe for one second that in the new preditor movie that the humans could possibly stay alive from more than 10 seconds on the predator home planet. Honestly..

That's honestly what I thought. It's hard enough for a lot of humans to take out one predator, but thousands of predators against a dozen humans. No...

dude, I will no question the "why" as long as I CAN SEE SOMETHING IN THIS MOVIE and not like in AVP2, the camera was so fricking bad, all the movie felt like being texting on your phone while locked up at a bathroom with lights off at an abandoned house...all that you could see were black silhouttes even for humans

When Xenomorphs, Predators and humans are in the same movie; it's more satisfying to kill off the cast of Dawson's Creek before having a real challenge.
