Even though that article is focused on girls, there's also a lot of males that do the exact same thing. But details aside, the only thing that these people achieve is making themselves look more stupid than they probably already are.

They did that because they don't want to give a good picture to who ever took those pictures. If you want a good picture from these girls you have to be dating them or so. They are actually smart girls.

since when does trying to have a good time = stupid. some of these girls might have a higher IQ than most of us. There was a girl who got nothing lower than an A in all her AP classes. But if you look in my year book you will see her in plenty of pictures acting just like these girls.

I mentioned nothing about the time they were having; I was just pointing out that pulling ridiculous faces = stupid, in my opinion.

Most people see it as being stupid, not cute or funny. I don't think we're talking about their actual intelligence, just that action in particular.

its dumb but of course the girls doing know its flipping dumb...there just goofy chicks...the guy who wrote that article is an idiot IMO...i think hes mad because every girl he was exposed to thought hes an ugly loser...
We make those faces cause we get bored and like to try different facial expressions to see what they turn out like and some of them either end up really dorky or stupid. but others can be kinda cool.

Whoever wrote the article needs to: a) relax and b) find something to do. These girls (and it's not only girls) make faces because they don't expect to be criticized by random strangers over the internet, and are just having a good time.
