If they feel that they need to spend more money for clothes than that's their problem. People can do what they want.

Because it's their right.

Or perhaps you mean: Why would they want to? Still, I don't know. I guess it's easier for them to blend into a crowd and they like it. That's why.

I don't buy t-shirts from Hollister or places like that.  I'm with you there; I don't see the point in that.  But I do buy knits, polos, hoodies, and shirts (actual, button-up shirts) from them.  I just like the stuff better than generic stuff.  I have the money, I have the choice, so I do it.  Is that such a horrible thing?

I'm surprised you went after that and not: "...they're too much of a sheep to actually dress themselves." What the hell does that mean?  In a world where everybody acted like themselves, nobody would wear Hollister?  Did you ever stop to think that maybe.. just maybe.. people like those clothes and aren't just "conforming" to a crowd?  Guess not. :|

Eh, for $20 I'd rather buy a band shirt. People have deem particular things (like this brand for example) as socially acceptable.

I second this reason. :D

In my media design class, we were talking about what Hollister and Abercrombie are trying portray if people bought their clothes. The most prepiest girl in the class who doesn't know jack about Photoshop, screams out "Because it makes them sexy." Then, the teacher said, "In my opinion, I think it makes them snobby." I love my teacher ^.^ My teacher then asked, "what kind of audience would buy these clothing?" Same idiot screams "rich people"...

No. She made it seem like she was the "coolest" person in the school by screaming out that clothes to make her better than others. She's basically gloating and bragging.

Agreed.

Anyone who wears Hollister, 99% of the time they are probably a prep.

Skating/Urban brand clothing FTW.
