Why do some people go nuts if they feel they haven't showered in a while?

It's pretty common among women (my sister notably) who will just go nuts for not taking a shower, say, within 10 hours of the previous shower. So she'll have to take a shower at night, around 9. Then when the morning arrives she feels she must get in the shower. Why? Are you going to get that dirty just by sleeping in bed overnight? Sheesh. Shower freaks, I'm tellin' ya. ;)

Does anyone else know anyone else like this?

Yes, actually, you will get dirty while sleeping. Do you know just how much you sweat while your sleeping? A LOT, not to mention, most of our beds arent very clean.

I make an effort to take at LEAST one shower every day before i go to sleep, and i try to take one every morning as well. Not easy to get a girlfriend if you stink, lol.

I usually take 2 or 3 showers a day. I gets to around 120+ F during the day time..DeLurk

its nice to know your arm pits, crotch, butt, and other areas toes and hair is clean.

Because they didn't have running water...so it was much harder. They used to share the bath water...would you want to take a bath in water that your parents and older siblings had already bathed in?

You'd be surprised....most people DO NOT, in fact, smell themselves....it's others that do.Individuals get immune to their stench after a time.

I might get flamed for this, but I NEVER take a shower regularly every day.

I just don't get that dirty, or sweaty, and I don't think it's necessary. I wear deodorant every day, and I keep myself pretty clean, but it's been over 5 years since I've taken a daily shower.

To the TC: I do know some people like your sister, though, who insist on taking showers multiple times a day. It seems wasteful and excessive to me, but it's their cleanliness and well being to consider, not mine. The same person also has a weird thing about naked feet, though. In fact, he's kind of a weird guy in general...

Shes gotta keep the honey pot clean and bug free.

I shower once daily usually at night. I didn't last night though due to drunkenness so I will take one this morning and then again later tonight to get back on track.

I just don't like to feel greasy all day. Plus, no one wants to see my bed head. :Pmsudude211
