Why do some people hate Myspace?

It makes buckets of money for Rupert Murdoch, which sucks.

Everything you put on your page is sold to advertisers so they can target you better, which sucks.

It makes meeting new people a whole lot more boring, which sucks.

Myspace isn't really good at all.

Quite possible it should have been name ToolSpace...

Sadly that is how it works. I'm no fan of myspace, but I don't "hate" it. I just don't use it and I'm ok with the fact that some people do.

Becuase its dangerous, people overreact and say they will kill you, stalkers, and hacking the URL is waaay to easy to view private profiles even a 10 year old can do them. :(

The only thing I used it for is to download music :P

they don't really do the job they were suspossed to do and connect you with new people it's also inferior to facebook for keeping you in contact with people as myspace is better for telling people about what you like and who you are but none of that makes you closer to friends facebook can keep you together more with loads of apps you can use together

EDIT: does anyone know this person? the only place i've ever put my url was on gamespot once so maybe one of you know her, she's called Stacey James, she lives in New York state and never posts pics of herself

Whats sad is that people went out of their way to join it BECAUSE it was popular.

And I don't like Mypsace because of what it is, "A place to meet friends". A friend is a person you can count on to help you when youre down, not some person you add to a list to make your e-peen bigger.

Myspace is a punchline - I found it hilarious when I think Rupert Murdoch (?) splashed millions to buy it about 4 minutes before everyone went to Facebook.

I think it's great. A lot of my good friends are going/are off to college so it's a good way to keep in touch with them. Also get to know people ect ect. I know what some people mean though, there are people that spam all day PC4PC PLZZZZZZZZ. Which is stupid, and I don't keep those people on my list =P

What's not to like about it? It's like your own website, where you can post your pictures, likes, dislikes, music, blogs, talk to your friends (especially ones you don't see that often), etc.

Honestly though, I use facebook a lot more.

I think its just plain stupid considering all it ever is is a bunch of slutty teens postings pictures for all the rapists who stalk all over the site.
