Lol, hes black. Thats all. I hate it when Black people say "Im African-American!" or something. No, youre not. Youre black because you were born in America, you didnt come from Africa.

its not about him personally coming from Africa, people often self-identify where their family and ancestors originated from. and i think there are worse things that he could be called than African-American so i wouldn't worry about it

Whats funny is that he fits the "African-American" description better than 90% of american blacks. His dad was African and his mom was american.

Because political correctness is the modern sacrifizo dell' intelletto -- he was not born in Africa, after all. Verily, the term 'African-American' accomplishes nothing but show that the person is afraid to call them blacks. Considering that we all originated from Africa, what sense does it make to call blacks African-Americans? What sense does it make to consider islanders African Americans? How many of you have heard whites being labeled "European-Americans"?

That's not the point either. The point is he is half Black and half white. It's really ignorant and rude to call him African-American because you are cutting out half his heritage. I know many biracial people and almost none of them present themselves as being Black or African-American. They like being referred to as Mixed, Biracial, or even just Black and White.

I dont think it's ignorant or rude...Certain 'mixed' people associate with a particular race.

It's called "Caucasian"

Caucasian also refers to people from India and most of the Middle-East. White typcially mean European decent.
