Yet what's really the point? Emotions, what we see.. stress...anger.. ect... It's all about how we created these things in our mind... So if you really think about it.. Much of that stuff doesn't matter, and we come back to just being the natural humans we are.. Yet we endlessly create these mind loops.. That don't exist.. We are creating them, and there's no point. I guess I'm saying this because recently I have had some life moments from some stuff.. lol... but anyways.. I have trouble taking these things seriously now. I just noticed that my friend got mad at me last night for not answering him for an hour on the phone.. I just kind of sat there and looked at his anger.. Who the **** cares? He's going to forget about it.. Nothing is going to come from it.. Just such a stupid thing to put your own mind through. Once again that was him creating that anger in his head. There's no point. He got even more mad at me because I started laughing at him hard, and he got more pissed.. and I just kept laughing at no matter how much I laughed.. He will eventually forget.. Plus if we are all going to die in the end.. Why worry about small stuff? In reality, I think we should focus more on our health, how to keep alive, and how to keep our minds content. I see so many arguements on this site and I bet anything that around 90 percent of the people wont remember the argument.. So was there a point? I hate to bring up religion.. but even that.. It's amazing that could be made up.. and that huge following could be based on something the human mind is just making up in their heads.. Just kind of amazes me. Now I realize sometimes there's a reason.. but most of the time.. There is no reason.. So many of us insist on stressing ourselves.

Anyone think about this stuff? Probably sounds bizzzare to most of you lol.

Because what is the point of living if you can't be better than other people?

I'd like to point out that at least to some extent, stress and anger actually feel good. This should be very obvious to people on a video game forum. WHY do stress and anger feel good? I don't know, but I'd wager that it's because at some point in our evolutionary history it helped us to survive.

If you truly find such emotions irrelevant OP then I suppose you could consign yourself to aloof stoicism. :|

While it is true that today many people get stressed over what seems like very trivial concerns, it is not for nothing that such feelings exist.  All of the feelings you described, anger, stress, etc. exist for a reason - I mean from an evolutionary biological perspective.  Some may be becoming less relevant or desirable in a 21st century level of technological and economic development, but that does not alter the root reasons for their existence.  Most of the feelings you describe are general feelings of discontent, or things that annoy us.  But it is often discontent that provides the impetus for action - to notice what is wrong with our situation and seek to improve it.  If we are stressed out then it behooves us to address the cause of what is stressing us - or to simply avoid that scenario entirely.  Anger can be dangerous in civilized society if not controlled, but that too can give us the strength to stand up for ourselves against would be bullies.  All of these feelings can be channelled into something productive - assertiveness that we can use to better our condition.  Again, all of this can be explained from a biological perspective.  In a way it's not too different from why we feel pain - it's unpleasant sure, but a necessary unpleasantry.

Many feelings of discontent can also be useful in driving technological innovation because it allows us to analyze our environment and notice things that our impeding or inconveniencing us and then make them better.  If we just contented ourselves with the way things are then we would lack that impetus.  There would be little left but apathy and laziness if we just contented ourselves with the way things are.

You can't have good emotions without bad ones.
