Exactly. Not to mention after using the same towel for too long, it eventually starts to smell like asscrack and nutsack.Maybe because towels get more and more wet each time you use them? And wet towels do tend to do a piss poor job when it comes to drying.

Because water and rubbing skin cells and crap off of you onto said towels is kinda disgusting. Your body oils and whatever get on them, and they do smell like mold if you don't wash them regularly after use.XilePrincessThis, and the fact that bacteria prefer a moist environment makes it a hotspot for getting all sorts of gross things onto them. Imagine putting all that onto your body?
[QUOTE="ossama224"]
I dont know about you but no shower gets your body 100% clean and the towel helps with the rest of that not to mention drying.
Spitfirer
Showers tend to move germs around the body instead of getting rid of them.
Use a shamwow instead.[QUOTE="ossama224"]

But I have those scrubby things that are supposed to scrub the dirt. But if you expose your body to bacteria, doesn't that help you become immune to it later?ZumaJones07Good point, but why stop there? I mean why wash our clothes, dishes and bed sheets if we're just going to get them dirty again? It doesn't make sense to me either.

We can all be immune to fungus in a matter of years...

Hygine allows us to live longer and healthier lives. If we didn't bathe we would develop infections from the tiniest cuts or harbor parasites like lice or fleas. If we didn't keep our surroundings clean we would be more exposed to some seriously bad stuff. Food poisoning from rot, bed bugs or scabies from dirty beds, ect.
How is this not common sense?

Erm, sorry, it was more of a sarcastic comment. Maybe I should've added "/sarcasm" in there somewhere.[QUOTE="my_mortal_coil"][QUOTE="Suzy_Q_Kazoo"] Good point, but why stop there? His question got answered many times over. And as you pointed out, you had a sarcasm fail. Don't get snippy with me because I thought you live like a pig.

I devote the corners of my towels to doing this "dirty job" so I know which area to avoid when I'm drying the rest of my body.
Pro Tip!
Also QFT for the nethers smell...

I was clearly advocating for being pro-clean.my_mortal_coil
At this point you're trolling though. so not even gonna bother anymore.
Well, if I dried my ass over and over again with the same towel it would eventually start to possibly smell bad.
[QUOTE="Celldrax"]Exactly. Not to mention after using the same towel for too long, it eventually starts to smell like asscrack and nutsack. I've always assumed the two smelled similar. And building up a layer of dirt on your body will help to keep away unwanted critters like lice.
Hygiene's for suckers.
They get full of toothpaste and shaving cream and my wife gets makeup on them. And god only knows what the kids do with 'em. Probably use 'em to clean up cat pi$$ and then put 'em back on the towel rack and laugh their butts off at how their clueless dad is going to dry his hands and then wonder why they stink afterwards.
Besides, drying your hands on a soft, fluffy, freshly-laundered towel is one of life's little pleasures.
Actually, you are further from the truth that you think. A damp towel will dry better than a dry towel will. Check out the towels used at a car wash and you will find that they are damp (and washed with detergent) when they start drying your car. A dry towel will streak the car otherwise.Maybe because towels get more and more wet each time you use them? And wet towels do tend to do a piss poor job when it comes to drying.

I tend to use 2 towels.....one for my hair and face, and the other for everything else.
why do we wash towels when we clean before using them? Doesn't make sense.ZumaJones07Would you rather rub something dirty on your body just after you've washed?

Lol, what do cars have to do with this? :P All I know is that a towel fresh out of the closet tends to dry the human body better than one that has been used several times already...
