I live solely because I am afraid of killing myself. I wish that I had never been born, but now that I am alive it feels unnatural and rather unplesant to end my life. I have an illogical need to live... it is very inconvenient. So why do you live?

Probably grasping at straws and fooling myself to think that there's probably some substantial payoff down the road.........
Oh, and loved ones...............That too...........

Because dying would be a horrible disappointment to everyone I know. Also I imagine death isn't terribly interesting. Ace6301
If you have succesfully done what you want and supposed to do,and have no desire in staying back, your soul will ascend to the higher planes.
If not,you'll most likely reincarnate.

Lame. Higher planes of existence are easily the most over rated thing. They're so boring.[QUOTE="GreekGameManiac"][QUOTE="Ace6301"]Because dying would be a horrible disappointment to everyone I know. Also I imagine death isn't terribly interesting. Ace6301

Well then you should be happy to know you have no fear of reaching a higher plane upon death. I'd congratulate you more than anything. Seriously higher planes are no fun.Well then you should be happy to know you have no fear of reaching a higher plane upon death. I'd congratulate you more than anything. Seek therapy and find a reason for yourself. :|
For me, it's the simple fact that we're blessed with the sensation of enjoyment, due to some chemical response in the brain. It feels good, and I try to provoke it as much as possible. There's is no ultimate reason of life to our knowledge, but that's not a bad thing though. We create our own reasons and we enjoy basking in them. It's a gift. Perhaps life is infinite and we're stuck in a constant circle of death and re-birth, or perhaps it's a one time occurrence. Either way, what's the point in missing out on this possible one time experience by moping and complaining about the bad things? If you only ever concentrated on the bad, you'd always fail to see the good.
Suicide is a p*ssy way out unless you were in prison all your life all or in constant physical pain nearing death. Cheer up.shadowkiller11
I don't understand why you say suicide is a "p*ssy way out" except under certain conditions.

Because it's unnecessary and selfish unless the death is shortly inevitable and painful. If it comes to that suicidal state they can change it or at the worst get help.[QUOTE="IdioticIcarus"][QUOTE="shadowkiller11"]Suicide is a p*ssy way out unless you were in prison all your life all or in constant physical pain nearing death. it's not cowardly for some people but it's cowardly depending on the situation. particularly when they do it when there are more better selfless alternatives. If the person is suffering from a illness which will lead to death and in pain then fair enough because at least it's an understandable context. It's all about the contextPlease Log In to post.
