I thought it was dull, somewhat depressing, and not that entertaining. But for a video game based movie, it sure as hell did it much better then "those" other ones.

And that ending sucked.

Actually I never saw the movie. I just saw a thread that was bumped from last year. Just make a new one.

I don't lock threads because I dislike them....

Anyways back on topic, never saw the movie. I have yet to see a really good videogame to movie transition.

it was supposed to be depressing and dark, if its slower than most video game movies thats because its not supposed to be action packed, its supposed to be slower. and how did the ending suck? confusing yes not bad, i fail to see what was so bad about the ending.

You should at least rent it. In my opinion, Silent Hill is the best video game to film adaptation I've ever seen.

I thought it was ok for a movie based on a game.

However, that doesn't change the poor choices behind the film. The acting could have been way better, I really wish more puppets and things were used in place of the bad CG, the story was asinine compared to the actual plot of SH, some pieces where they should have been, but positively useless plot points like including Pyramid Head just to have him, while the actual character has a deep meaning behind it which wasn't explained in the film.... I mean, they could have at least made up a new plot for PH but no, he was just sort of "there." Several other little issues I had with the story, but what else would you expect from a SH nazi like myself?

Of course I'm going to eat it alive. lol

Yeah. That crazy cult lady pissed me off. Made me happy when she got nearly raped by barbed wire though.

I thought it was all right until then, but that scene was the movie killer. I was expecting a plot twist involving PH but all I got was a useless shock sequence that was completely "un-Silent Hill."

Ever so slightly. Also, Mortal Kombat Annihilation was so bad, it actually tainted the greatness of the first.

video games and movies should just keep to themselves, no crossovers.

no movies based on games, no games based on movies.
