I mean they are people too. Why can't I call out for work saying I got too high last night? BUT I CAN call out saying I am sick or have an appointment? We are discriminating against druggies. They are an asset to this world and life wouldn't be the same without them. Lets help them out somehow.

There is nothing prejudice for telling your coworkers that you decided to get stupid with drugs the night before; therefore, you couldn't go to work and they reject you. Does that sound fair to the workers? No.

Look it up on google or something... there are plenty of morning after feelings with certain things, but overall its just extreme tiredness I guess.
There are a ton of people who sympathize with drug addicts. There are always human interest stories about the struggles of drug addicts and whatnot.
I personally don't have a lot of sympathy for drug addicts because they brought it upon themselves. They should've known what they were getting themselves into, and if they didn't, then that's their own fault. Basically, I don't have much sympathy because it was a choice.
Casual druggies don't bother me. I've dabbled in the fine art of soft drugs myself before.

The only effect I've personally experienced the morning after being high is that I'm more tired than normal. But that's no reason to call out of work that day. I didn't go to bed until about 1 this morning, and I was tired when I woke up at 6 to get ready for work, but I still worked my full shift without complaining.
Doing drugs is not a way of life, it is a choice. You weren't born with an addiction to cocaine or anything else. You chose to take the drugs, so its your fault and yours alone. No one should be sympathized for making poor decisions. Your first post was very arrogant. Being sick is COMPLETLEY different than going to a party and getting high. When I say "you" in this post I mean it in general. There is no discrimination against druggies, its just that what they do is ILLEGAL, thats all.

Well I guess you're talking about drugs other than pot; that's the only one I was talking about. I don't really have experience with other drugs besides pot, so I can't really say anything about them, but with pot, I'd be willing to bet there's no consistent, serious symptoms after coming down from the high. In fact, I did a little wake and bake this morning, and I feel fine right now, not tired at all.

If they are happy enough with their current state, that they don't want to get clean, they must like their lives just fine. In which case, why should I sympathize for them...
I don't care if people do drugs, so long as they don't cause anyone a problem. If I met a nice person who frequently takes amphetamines, I wouldn't think much less of him.
Because its their choice and therefore in their control to do drugs in the first place. You can't really control sickness or appointments, you can only influence them (drink OJ, reschedule, etc.).
