Well first of all, there aren't really any "hangover" effects from being high the night before, so that point is invalid :P.
And second of all, you can't really choose when you can or can't be sick. You can choose to smoke pot or not to smoke pot. Although I would choose the former :D.
"Druggies" are no ethnic group like race color, beliefs, or sexuality.
There is nothing prejudice for telling your coworkers that you decided to get stupid with drugs the night before; therefore, you couldn't go to work and they reject you. Does that sound fair to the workers? No.

Such as?Look it up on google or something... there are plenty of morning after feelings with certain things, but overall its just extreme tiredness I guess.
If they have no intention on getting better, and want to continue to living their life like that, why should I sympathize at all?alwayspureblood
Maybe they don't think it is a bad thing. Not every drug user is begging for change to buy crack at the corner.
There are a ton of people who sympathize with drug addicts. There are always human interest stories about the struggles of drug addicts and whatnot.
I personally don't have a lot of sympathy for drug addicts because they brought it upon themselves. They should've known what they were getting themselves into, and if they didn't, then that's their own fault. Basically, I don't have much sympathy because it was a choice.
Casual druggies don't bother me. I've dabbled in the fine art of soft drugs myself before.
bein sick isnt a choice, ppl choice to do drugs therefor i feel no pity for them-DirtySanchez-
Being sick is a choice sometimes. What if your mom tells you to button up your jacket and you don't... and then you get sick?

The only effect I've personally experienced the morning after being high is that I'm more tired than normal. But that's no reason to call out of work that day. I didn't go to bed until about 1 this morning, and I was tired when I woke up at 6 to get ready for work, but I still worked my full shift without complaining.[QUOTE="-DirtySanchez-"]bein sick isnt a choice, ppl choice to do drugs therefor i feel no pity for themDiablo112688

Doing drugs is not a way of life, it is a choice. You weren't born with an addiction to cocaine or anything else. You chose to take the drugs, so its your fault and yours alone. No one should be sympathized for making poor decisions. Your first post was very arrogant. Being sick is COMPLETLEY different than going to a party and getting high. When I say "you" in this post I mean it in general. There is no discrimination against druggies, its just that what they do is ILLEGAL, thats all.Frenzyd109
I don't think I am arrogant. It is only speculation. I never said I am sure I am correct.

Because it is nice to be nice.
Um, why should I feel sorry for someone who chooses to manually inject toxins into their bodies...DJ_Novakain
Why not? They would feel sorry for you.

Well I guess you're talking about drugs other than pot; that's the only one I was talking about. I don't really have experience with other drugs besides pot, so I can't really say anything about them, but with pot, I'd be willing to bet there's no consistent, serious symptoms after coming down from the high. In fact, I did a little wake and bake this morning, and I feel fine right now, not tired at all.

If they are happy enough with their current state, that they don't want to get clean, they must like their lives just fine. In which case, why should I sympathize for them...[QUOTE="Diablo112688"][QUOTE="cool_baller"]Because it's unnatural and wrong, and you have a choice; unlike being gay or black or a girl or what have you.Makemap
Actually it is natural a lot of the time... and it could be argued that it is right.
Are you a High?
Am I a High? I don't know what that means. I will say no in case it means an ugly person.

Yours. I said that because I wanted to point out to you how stupid it was. You damn well know what being high is, which makes your post even more stupid. Now I'm done, troll.I don't see why you are angry. I am confused.
