Why don't people who are balding just shave their head?

Anyone else think it's really stupid when people just leave that horseshoe hair cut around their head? You know when they're balding so they have no hair on top of their head and just hair on the side? Why don't they just cut it off? It looks stupid.

Now combovers - THOSE look stupid.

It's their choice.
I am balding a little,when it gets too bad,I'm shaving it off.

The horseshoe is fine as long as it's cut short.

Unless they got a greybeard and peer under a pair of small reading glasses with this mad professor look. I'm sure there are some girls who get turned on by that. You'll be surprised.

Well, all I know is that if I start loosing my hair to such an extent, I'm cutting it all off. :P

Maybe cause they feel that some hair is better than no hair at all? You know the old saying "hair today gone tomorrow".

I'm in the process of going bald, and I did shave my head, well I left like an eighth of an inch, and it looks pretty good. I don't understand the point of getting all worked up about going bald and spending money on treatment and stuff, its an inevitability with some people, can't really do anything about it.

probably the thought of losing more hair would be too much for them to handle...

what I don't get are rich people that are balding...why don't they do the hair replacement thing, and have a full head of hair...I say rich people, cuz I think it is very expensive (for the ones that work anyway)..I'm sure they can afford it..

I call my dad's The Cul-de-sac. Its a map of our neighborhood in case he ever gets lost.

Its mostly psychological issues preventing them from accepting the fact they are balding. What most of the self-conscious men don't know is that when you shave your head, no one will know that you are balding. Many guys look pretty damn good when they shave their heads... and comb-overs are not attractive.

I'm fortunate to have good hair genes (my dad is 50 and has the same hair he did at 25)... but can understand why men seek to cover up the fact they are "losing their manhood."
