Why do they always send the poor?

Back in the day the king would lead his knights into battle on horseback and actually fight the enemy with his warriors. Today presidents just stay inside their little oval officeall protected and keep on sending troops to die in the middle east. Where's the leadership? :cry:

Because holding an election is expensive. And actually, I think outside of movies, the kings would usually sit behind their ranks of soldiers while surrounded by guards, giving orders and watching the battle take place.

When did Kings, or generals for that matter, ever fight on the front lines? Their lives are more valuable then the average soldier because they make decisions, and people in turn listen to the leader. If they were to fight they couldn't command, and risk losing their life early in a long term war.

Politicians hide themselves away

They only started the war.

Why should they go out to fight?

They leave that role to the poor.

The only king's that have lead their troops into battle are from Middle Earth, and that didn't work out so well for a few of them.

It is much easier to kill someone now. The president could easily get shot and picked off now. Back in the day it was not that easy to pick off a king. Even so, the king was usually far behind the front lines.

We don't fight and die for ideologies, our country or so much as freedom, we never had. We die for their own gratification, whatever they desire, whatever they want.
Our leaders make the decisions, our troops die for the consequences.

In life, there is no peace or prosperity but chaos which is why order is created. Because if there is no order, you can picture the horrors that lie beyond.
Order may not be perfect even as of modern society but it is what we need momentarily or perhaps another decade to prevent chaos.

True but I still find it much easier. Plus our presidents learned from the mistakes of the past kings and decided going out in the battle was not such a great idea.

Because we understand, as people back in the day had to realize, that when the leader of your entire country gets killed suddenly, it can create some issues.

because presidents are trained to be politicians not soldiers a good politician doesnt always make a good soldier and vice versa Hitler controlling the German army in WWII The British actually called OFF an assassination attempt on Hitler because Hitler was doing a better job at crippling the Axis army then they could have hoped.

TC play some Dynasty Warriors. Notice how when you get to the leader he is surrounded by soldiers? We don't do stupid stuff like that anymore.

There's multiple problems with this post. "The poor" aren't fighting this war; the middle class, not the wealthy or the lower class, make up the men and women serving in our armed forces. Also, "where's the leadership" can be answered in that a leader leads, he doesn't necessarily fight. It would be nothing more than a publicity stunt and a negligent and stupid one at that to put our President at risk in battle.
