Because I find the concept utterly ridiculous.

I do however posit that there is more to the human experience than most people rightly well know, and mystical religious experience (that is an experience coming from either the conscious or subconscious mind, such as "feeling God's love") is too often mis-labeled as a divine or supernatural event, when in fact it is merely rooted in the psyche and experienced subjectively by the person involved.

Why jump to the supernatural explanation when simpler and more natural explanations could easily suffice?

I prayed for a Castle Grayskull playset for christmas when i was a kid and i didnt get one. Oddly enough its the same reason i dont believe in Santa Claus either.

He keeps allowing these kind of threads to be made over and over.

I believe that I am the "god" of my universe, considering I have more control over my life than some great space-wizard.

I believe in God! I mean, if when we die we don't go anywhere then life itself is pointless and that is why so many people are depressed in our world! God is real, have you seen all the miracles he has done! He created this amazing earth, all the people, even the smallest creatures, he created! Do you believe in that science crap that we are just creatures made out of chance and have no one who is always watching over us and protecting us? That is just sad if we didn't...

I know since mathematics is infinite and so is space eventually you would HIT that 1 in that large number.

Since if according to science. The science way of time applies as there was no creator who created time.

Thus time is infinite by itself. Thus since time is infinite and so is mathematics. Eventually you would hit that 1 in large number. Eventually you will win the lottery if you have inifnite years to live.

You clearly missed my point. I am not questionning motives, I am saying that I don't want to call whatever created us a god.

Does anyone need a reason? Isn't I don't care good enough. I don't think there is any elaborate or relevant explanation. If you're gonna ask someone why they don't believe in something you may as well ask them why they don't believe in Sponge Bob Square pants. They never ponder WHY they don't believe in sponge Bob, they just don't.

I guess it just comes down to the fact that some people are scientific or while others are fanciful. When I use the term methodist I mean they keep things andlive bytheory & method. To them pondering only goes as far probable or improbable.
