I actually prefer that type of weather and climate. however, when i went to england, everyday was sunny and warm.
Because it is England? And it is better this way rather than incredibly cold like Canada?vito_128
In some parts, yes, it is cold. But Canada is freaking huge! Not every place in Canada is always cold. Visit Vancouver. If you go to cities on the Great Lakes, yes, it is often cold there. But not all the time.
[QUOTE="daftdog"]Its because we live in the north. 100 million years ago England had desserts (deserts?) and would of been scorching hot!Mr_Lurker
Damn you beat me to it, and actually it was a rainforest ;)
True, but there were parts of the country that were desert. For example if you visit Lyme Park in Cheshire you are able to find sandstone.

Alright, so I live near Vancouver, and we have great weather! Ranging from snow in the winter to rain in the summer, it's always... nasty. Or take Ontario. Sure it's warm in the summer, but in the winter, ooo does it get cold... ugh.
i do like the british weather, i like the rain and and the less extreme climate. Anyway, i made this picture explaining basically one of the main reasons for our rain. That Gulf Stream also keeps us warm in the winter, compare the UK in the winter to Canada (both on the same Lattitude).
I remember my Biology teacher told me a story about how cloudy the weather is in Germany. He said that one day the sun came out and was really bright, and alll the kids in the classroom ran to the window to look at it.
He said it was rarely sunny there.

i live right near there also you're making it sound better than it is
Eh , come to where i live in Scotland we had a terrible summer this year we did have sunny days but the majority of it was poor.
When I went to England it was always cold, dreary, rainy and windy. Horrible weather. My umbrella turned inside out and I probably looked like an idiot lol.
It's always sunny here in Houston, Texas. It's usually pretty humid though, which sucks because it makes it feel a lot hotter than it is... even though it's routinely in the upper 90's or even low 100's Farenheight during the summer. (From about 35 to 39 degrees Celsius).
[QUOTE="majadamus"]That's probably one of the reasons they drink tea so often. It's to help them keep warm..maybe? daftdog
Thats why i drink it and the fact that it is very tasty!
I need to start eating warmer foods and drinking warmer fluids as well since it's coming near fall.
Reminds me of Seattle...rainy and cloudy. It probably has soemthing to do with Air masses and Fronts and stuff like that. If everyone wants an equal amount of everything then they need to move to michigan...we get everything from super hot (over 100 degrees) and dry to super hot and humid to super cold (like -10) with feet of snow. We get a near equal amount of sun and cloud so i am happy and with the Great lakes surrouning us it is fun to go swimming and boating in fresh water. I don't think i would mind if it was dreary all day.
I know it sucks :( I'm fed up of the rain and cold - I've got the sniffles too :(tofu-lion91
It's cold there already?? It's currently 87 degrees here in Texas. (About 36 Celsus). I just went outside in the backyard and took a (camera phone) picture (the plants look messy because of the hurricane):
[QUOTE="freshgman"]yeah its pretty depressing at times. it rains quite a bit too
Mr_Lurker
It's only depressing when you see Gordon Brown at the same time.
