So, I go on one computer and I go onto gamespot, and it says that I have some viruses, only after visiting gamespot. So I think GS has nothing to do with it, so I proceed to format the hard drive. Right now, the computer I usually use is being formatted.

When I use the PC im currently using, It says I have 2 viruses. These only happen after visiting GS, and the 2 viruses are the same viruses infecting the same places

WTF gamespot, WTF?

Im using Computer Associates ETrust.

It has this real time infection alert thingy, and whenever I clicka link on Gamespot, it says I have a virus, 2 to be exact. They're the same virus as my other computer, and they're infecting the same place in the temporary internet files.

Chances are they are just non-harmful cookies that your anti-virus considers "dangerous".

There is Site Cross Scriptiing going on here...An advertiser is trying to inject Javascript into Gamespot...That advertisement that is being viewed leaves the computer vulernable to hijacks...My advice get Firefox with NoScript. You keep getting the Cross-Site Scripting XSS alert, but it is worth it...

Why would you reformat your hard drive without even verifying it's an actual threat?luccaface
Good question. Unless the virus is crippling my system, I research a way to resolve it.

it seems like that you need a good anti-virus program ill give you some advice

if want a good securitey program its one of these three

1-mcafee

2-bittdefender

3-kaspersky

believe me these are the best programs from my personal experiance if you want to be more sure you can always download a trial version (usualy lasts one month) and if you liked it go ahead and buy it
