The way I see it, if you would show a dog the courtesy of ending his life in a painless manor after its quality had plummeted in a permanent way, it seems silly to make the euthanasia of a suffering(voluntary) human a crime. I think that if a person wants to leave this mortal coil in a digified manor, it is not the United States Government's place to tell them that they cannot. I don't see the difference in a woman having the right to choose what happens to her body during the process of abortion and this; and yet abortion is legal. Am I wrong?
It's not just the U.S... unfortunately it's not allowed in much of the world. If I am going to die painfully, why shouldn't I be allowed to end it painlessly? Where the hell is the logic there? As you said, we do it for animals because it is the most loving and respectful thing to do.. so why not for humans? Society is ridiculous

Especially if they have an incurable disease and they are just going to get progressively worse until they die, I wouldn't want to suffer like cancer or AIDS victims do:(
Because people are paranoid about the possible ramifications. State-operated programs like this are what the Holocaust was born out of. Still, I feel it should be legalized.

What one culture defines as civilized to another is barbaric, that's not the point. People see that humans are mystical and somehow, possess super powers that we are in many ways different than animals. Well, NEWSFLASH, we are animals with vital organs and are just as fragile, if not more, than other creatures in the animal kingdom. I believe we should support Euthanasia.
I rhink euthanizing humans is fine if they wish to end their lives. I know if I ever went into a coma, and didn't have much chance of recovery, Id want them to pull the plug.

Humans have been around on this planet for many, many, many years and yet there are still so many  problems to be solved. I usually wonder why it takes soooo long for anything to be improved or solved.

Yea. But were the smartest. So maby it's a matter of IQ? That does not make us superior. A virus wiping out 1/3 of Europe and they call us "superior." All it takes is a highly evolved and rapidly varying endemic...something you can't even see. In my opinion, the superior animal is the greatest surviving animal. Pimates can only ask for things when it comes to communication, and only after years of training, you can never carry a conversation with a primate, even if it knows sign launguage. If can only ask for things and can't critically think then how can you comprhend and justify things such as death.
It's not generally allowed because in America, people love to dictate to others how they live their lives, even if they'd not be affected by the action.
