The people there should be hanged in the street.

Being a captialist country, the US encourages large companies that make profits and improve living for many. Unfortunately, some of the countries go out of control and do more harm than good.
The head of the FDA is run by a former monsanto executive, you can thank obama for that one

If you think President Obama is the only President to put questionable people in high-profile positions, you are incredibly naive.

I'm not really sure why they haven't been dealt with. They must have really good connections and lawyers.BranKetra

when did i ever say that. you assume you know what I'm thinking, who's incredibly naive? People tend to get overly defensive with Obama.Probably because God was feeling a bit like his Old Testament self when he allowed this company to exist.
Company creates product. People Buy product. I see no other reason that it would exist. It creates the BEST seeds, people want to grow more food in less area, Monsanto made that happen. If Monsanto wasn't around, your food would cost much more TC, much, much More.m25105No it wouldn't. Everything I buy is 100% organic and from countries that doesn't spray their food like crazy. Monsanto is ruining soil, running farmers out of business and making animals sick. I can't for the life of me understand why anyone would defend a company that's pure evil.
Probably because it makes most people lives more convenient. Thats usually it.

BranKetraMonsanto creates seeds that allow for a greater volume of food to be grown in a smaller area. They hurt farmers when farmers steal from Monsantos, in the same respect that shoplifters are "hurt" when they're caught. More food = cheaper food, and more people fed. Monsanto is trying to provide the world with more food by creating the best seeds. Also, just something that organic food buyers usually dont clue into
There's no regulation on what can be called "organic" and what cannot be called "organic" There's a good chance your organic oranges, are the same as the regular oranges ;)
They also genetically alter fruits so they contain less nutrients when fully grown. By doing so, people need to buy more to get what they need to stay healthy. They don't make the best quality seeds unless you mean the ones which will generate the most profit.
http://www.reuters.com/article/2009/07/29/us-food-organic-idUSTRE56S3ZJ20090729 according to a recent study, that is in fact absolute CRAP. Organic foods do not provide more nutritious products..
Did you mean to quote me? I don't see what that has to do with what I was saying, but it makes sense if you were talking to the other user.http://www.reuters.com/article/2009/07/29/us-food-organic-idUSTRE56S3ZJ20090729 according to a recent study, that is in fact absolute CRAP. I love when people join on the hating monsanto bandwagon without know anything about the company or anything about genetics

That was complete BS
I do, actually. While you probably think it's cool to aim for personal attacks rather than sticking to topic at hand, that's not the best idea in this case.I love when people join on the hating monsanto bandwagon without know anything about the company or anything about genetics

If you think expressing BT gene or glyphosphate causes fruit to yield more/less nutrients, then you clearly don't know what you are talking about.

When did I say that? Trick question: I didn't. you claim that they genetically engineer fruit to yield less nutrients, when all they change for their main crops are BT gene or glyphosphate. The fact that you claim that they purposly reduce nutrients in their fruit is ridiculous. When did I say that?
