Well, isn't the single, most important purpose of our species to survive and reproduce? It would be fatal to our species if we didn't want it that much. I think it's the same reason we think about eating food when we get hungry, or how the desire to sleep comes to us when we need rest.

You have to ask yourself why we are bombarded with sexual images all the time. It is because media knows that we have an intense desire in that area of our lives. Everyday I see various food advertisements, but rarely does that make me think about that product all the time. Sure, you may think about sex when you see a sexual ad, but that doesn't make you think about it all day, does it? We have this desire naturally.
I guess people really like it, I personally won't try and delve into the matter being as old as I am, but I believe its been WAY too overblown (no pun intented). Its as if sexual preference and how much you get establishes who you are and your identity.
Because people are disgusting and like to talk about what they dont generaly get. And for those who do get it alot and brag, honestly they probably arent that great at it.

Many parts of the world people arent, and as a result that isnt the only thing they talk about Are you serious? I guarantee you, everyone in this age group (13-21) is thinking about sex all of the time. It's called hormones, the thing that our body produces to allow us to create offspring before we die at age 30, or would have if we were still living in primitive conditions.
Because, as far as the animal part of humans, sex is the only thing that matters. I believe there's another part of humans, intelligence, feelings, and what not. But sex is the reason for most of things we do, I mean as far as our earthly selves go.
I could even go for the theory that everything a human does is for sex. I mean why go to college? To get a good job. Why get a good job? To make money. Why make money? To get someone to have sex with you. I mean that's just one simplified version of the theory, but you get my point.
Because it is a strong desire for many people. It is good that it is too, or else our species would not have been able to survive this long. We need some motivation to spawn more of our own, and continue our race.
