He is probably Irish, has very white skin and red hair because of this. Not to mention, if you photograph someone who has this fair of complexion, on a white background, you will "blow out" their skin color and it looks even whiter. Throw in some horrendously green speedos and there you go! A snowman!
Because he lacks black!?... but seriously, I'm sure it has to do with him being Irish..lbjkurono23
..."lacks black"?
Omg, you can't just ask why people are white!
Although yeah, considering his background, it makes sense.
How dare you say that no one here will get the reference! :x:P
But... TC, I don't know what to say to that. :?
He just looks like a pants-less redneck to me.XilePrincesso_O That's not what a redneck looks like. Believe me, I know. :? Ohio is full of them.
Most likely burn to a crisp, even when wearing sunscreen.I wonder how well he would fare (no pun intended) in equatorial Africa.
In my experience, the Scots aren't as pale as the Irish or the northern Englishmen. Trufact. Or maybe my love of the Scots and their Irn Bru has made me blind? :3ayanami_reiNot as pale, not, but still have fair skin. :3 And red hair. Seamus is an Irishman. :3 My grandpa was an Irishman. In his wedding pic, he looked like a vampire, though.
With skin that glitters under sunlight?

How long do you think it would take for the burning to start? Also, do you think it could eventually kill him? If so, how long would it take for him to die?
my father is irish and he's pretty white like that guy. but you cant tell with all the hair covering his body (why did I had to inherit that ****! )
but yea, I feel slightly disturb after seeing that pic. why couldnt he be wearing any pants?
:x Do not make fun of the Irish skin! It does NOT glitter! If anything, in direct sunlight, it burns the eyes as it burns to a crisp. *Always has trouble staring at skin without eyes burning, let alone the skin.* Seriously. :( I was out in the car when I went to fill something out and waited for my dad to come back. The whole time, my skin felt like it was burning and becoming really hot from the sun. D: I didn't burn, thank goodness, but it was just so warm, I wanted shade. With skin that glitters under sunlight?

Just be glad that you don't live in Arizona. We have intense direct sunlight 364 days a year out of 365 days. It messes up my skin too, can't be out too long without sunscreen

Are there Black people out there? If so, how well do they fare in the sun?
You do know that the darker the skin is, the more it doesn't burn, right? Fair skin burns in the reason because there's not much coloring compared to someone who is darker. Are there Black people out there? If so, how well do they fare in the sun?

I'm not entirely sure. From the few black folks I know they seem to be fine with it. I'm always trying to walk under the shade whenever I'm out in the sunlight, heat is just unbearable around this part of town, could be as high as in the 120's

I know that. I'm just asking for a first hand recollection of its efficiency in sunlight. Also, dark skin burns less relative to light skin. So, it may still have its problems in the sun.
Someone who has fair skin burn FASTER in the sunlight because the color is lighter. Being Irish and having Irish skin (even though I'm also German and Japanese), my skin burns in a matter of fifteen minutes, a lot less if I have sun screen. My niece, on the other hand, tans. Her skin is from our German ethnicity (along with Polish from her father), so her skin is darker than mine, thus giving her the ability to tan and not burn as bad, unlike me. I CAN'T tan. Sure, I'll turn darker after the sunburn goes away, but it's not the same as someone who is darker than me.I know that. I'm just asking for a first hand recollection of its efficiency in sunlight. I already know about melanin. Melanin is a substance in the skin which blocks ultraviolet rays from the Sun. The greater the concentration of melanin, the darker the skin and the more efficiently it can block UV rays. I also know that when someone who can tan is exposed to the sun, their skin will produce more melanin, in order to more effectively block the UV rays. The downside to having more melanin (i.e. darker skin) is that the body absorbs less sunlight, which it needs to produce vitamin D; the less sunlight one can absorb, the less their skin can produce vitamin D (which is necessary for strong bones). However, in tropical environments, darker skin people tend to have access to vitamin D rich foods, which compensates for their lower efficiency in producing vitamin D. On the other hand, fair skin is advantageous in colder environments with little sunlight. The reason is because the lighter skin is more efficient at producing Vitamin D with the little sunlight that's available. A darker person wouldn't be able to produce Vitamin D as efficiently since their dark skin would block the little sun light that's available. They'd have to rely on vitamin rich D foods, which may not be so plentiful in such an environment.

He has red hair and fair skin. It is very hard for him to tan.
I see no reason to laugh here.

Seriously.
ditto
why people gotta be hating on people for the smallest reasons? Youre holding humanity back if you do.
The guy has really white skin, sure, but he is also a near-perfect picture of health and strength
Is that a Mean Girls Reference?Omg, you can't just ask why people are white!

Not really expecting anyone here to get that reference... :P
