Why is wrong to make fun of fat people...?

Here will be the common answer:

"Nothing's wrong with fat people, they just eat more food then most people! Sometimes it's not their fault, they can get picked on and it's their way of feeling better! Making fun of people is wrong, you should be in their shoes! Being fat is a lifestyle!"

Because making fun of people for anything is uncompassionate. The intent is to make them feel bad for your own amusement. If you don't see a problem with that, you need to think harder about it. There is constructive criticism, and there is insult. One is intended to help, the other to offend.

Actually, I'm only 140 pounds and 5'10". Never been overweight in my life.

I'd rather make fun of someone due to their stupidity than their physical appearance. Stupidity is always self-inflicted.

Fat people who got fat out of laziness and gluttony deserve it...I was made fun of for being fat and if I hadn't been made fun of I would have never lost the weight. It did damage me though. I still see a counselor about it. It actually went to a point where I was nearly dangerously underweight, now I'm just underweight and I deal with it. I still am subconcious about it though so actually, I change my mind, they don't deserve it.

No, I just find your post hypocritical :) As well as ilogical for measuring somebody's intelligence over their grammar and spelling on a gaming forum.

Its wrong usually because its in their genes as to whether or not they are fat. Some people can eat like pigs and look like they don't eat. You can be really fat and still be healthier than a skinnier person.

I think your plan will fail, to be honest.

His point was that the OP has faults, too, which could be ridiculed. So I think you did miss his point, as it seems you think he seriously felt we should make fun of people for their lousy writing.

For the record, though, how you post on a gaming forum IS a subtle reflection of your intelligence. People always say they can clean up their writing when they write formal papers, but it's easier said than done, given that good writing is about much more than just following the rules. Many of the people who come here and write like idiots also have idiotic ideas. The two are very frequently related.
