Is not about showing off, is about being confident and say it if you are asked. One smart guy will not go on the scene and scream out loud that he is smart. Is like being Adriana Lima and pretend to believe that you are average looking, just to show some "modesty" and avoid their critics.

Ya I'm feeling you, it can definately take a long time to get the exact gun you want and it kind of restricts your gun selection at the start. Once you get a decent arsenal it can get really fun though so it rewards the patient.
Boldly I would even suggest they double cert gain but that's just me.
