For fun? It's really just a hobby to me. When I'm at home, there's nothing good on TV and it's not a convenient time to go out, what else can you do?Setsa
but what makes it fun to you
i nicked this from my favorite youtuber, retrogamer3
"Videogames, like crosswords, are a form of play and play is a key element of a healthy adult existence. As game theorist
Raph Koster has always pointed out, our playful brains love to seek out patterns, to solve problems and there's something existentially joyful about doing this in an environment that doesn't have any stakes if you screw it up."
i thought it sounded about right.

It's about a complex yet easy enough occupation. Think of it as getting a fireworks display every time you solve a basic math problem. When you completely sever (or loosen very much, whatever) the line between you (the real you) and the responsibility of everything you do, you have a game. Now do what the set of rules that come with the game tell you to do, and you get fireworks (a video game). In life, the most satisfying things are those that do not directly concern themselves with you; the things that allow you to 'lose yourself'. That is why World of Warcraft is not a game.[QUOTE="xBlayder5x"]maybe you didnt know this but ppl play video games for fun.WhenPicklezFly
how do you find it fun
Man, read the good responses. Someone else already commented on the lack of responsibility in a game. I, myself, will bring into discussion the easiness with which possible complex actions unfold in a game. If you'd have to shoot zombies in real life, would it still be fun? Well, it wouldn't be fun when they chew on you!videogames are fun, because they immerse you into these fantasy (or maybe sometimes more realisitic) worlds, and let you control things. And also video games can make you want to come back if they offer a good story and/or entertainng fulfilling gameplay. Video games are also a way to escape the problems of the real world for a bit and just relax, or perhaps if you are angry, you can take out your anger on the innocent computer characters :P.
That was a good podcast too until that irish drunk started babbling BS. I never want to hear his annoying voice again
Also anybody who wants the true answer to the TC question. HERE IS YOUR GOD The production of this podcast is insane. best game podcast out there if you are a sensible person who likes to reflect on life.

Because I don't like getting hammered like my friends and find other things like going to the mall or watching TV boring?
