it was bush who killed the economy by spending trillions in Iraq.

we were in a depression back in 2008 but republicans didn't want to believe it. and now obama is being blamed for everything? he's been in office for less than 2 years and the republicans delayed his legislation for 10 months.

it's odd how everyone forgot that Iraq had no weapons of mass destruction, bush wasn't even brought up on war crimes. you guys are nuts!

Most people don't dislike Obama... it's just that the people that dislike him are more vocal.

Its becasue he is a Black muslim socalist nazi that is driving this country into the ground and would let muslims infiltrate us and destroy us all with "Mosques" built next to places that they have already destroyed.

.....I kid.. about ALLLL of that:P Seriously though, some people few he hasnt gotten things doen, aren't keeping promises or just disagrre with his viewpoints and actions in general. Everyone has their opinion and I'm sure every president and their fair share of 'haters'

As much as I hate Bush, I have to point this out: I question how anyone could consider ANY of the last four presidents anything but a giant heap of failures, each worse than the last.

The recession story is far, far more complex than that, and something neither Obama nor Bush caused. Obama is hated due to being president during a recession. Historically, this tends to be the case. Prez is popular when times are good, unpopular when not.

Obama is just an average President. If the U.S had 50 Presidents he would be the 25th best... if we had 1000 he would be #500... it's not completely his fault, but slogans like "Change you can believe in" certainly doesn't help.

Yes, just attribute it to racism. Nothing to do with the fact that he has not delivered on a single campaign promise, and the fact that his administration is spending at an exponentially higher rate than the Bush administration (which also spent too much).

Hey, gotta spend money to make money. Oh and I wonder what he was spending that money. It must have been to add a new wing to the white house.

according to politifact obama has kept 121 campaign promises and another 250 are in the works. His record is pretty damn good.

http://politifact.com/truth-o-meter/promises/

fact of the matter is people elected him to do what he said he was gonna do... he started doing it... and now we are mad at him for it. The average american is a fickle ****

i cant tell if this is a troll thread, if its not here is a few reasons... still in iraq, still in afg., no change with respect to the war on drugs, health care will be much worse in the future, promises broken to the gay and lesbian commmunity, massive overhaul of the financial system with many of the new laws having nothing to do with the present financial crisis, the massive government debt, went back on his sunshine before signing promise, americans still cant go to cuba, but to be honest the impending currency crisis he has created prob is the main reason people are ticked off

obama during his campaign said he was going to begin withdrawing troops from iraq and ramp up the war in afghanistan.., which is exactly what he did. The guy has done ALOT in office considering its been less than 2 years and hes had to deal with an obstructionist congress.

In terms of delivering on promises obama is probably one of the best presidents we have ever had.... the problem is the american public had a big change of heart in those 2 years... and now we are mad at him for doing what we elected him to do.

thats because bush's timeline was constantly changing in order to always be just out of reach. Obama set one timeline and stuck with it.

The major issue is in order to get elected to the POTUS, one must promise the world. However, one cannot deliver the world, and thus everyone is disappointed. A realistic politician is a nonexistant politician.

There was a wave of hype that followed Obama into office. People voted for him assuming that because he wasn't a crusty white Republican he'd wave a magic wand and everything would be better. Two years later, the same people having trouble finding work and getting medical care are more or less in the same position they were before. It was stupid to assume everything would be better by making a vote, and I could completely see it coming during election season.

The majority of complaints I've read against Obama have been about issues and policies that have been around for years. For whatever personal reasons, a lot of people just hadn't taken interest in them until now.

Good points TC. The Iraq war is not the biggest contributor to the debt, and the economic crisis is not all Bush's fault, but almost everything Obama has done has helped the system.

Newsflash: Congress was controlled by democrats in 2006 why cant people understand this.

And its been TWO YEARS now can we stop doing the "if its not working lets blame bush" act.

I don't want to sound rude but when can we start blaiming OBAMA. Its not like he cant get anything GOOD past hes got a democratic majority(for now)

Lets face it this man was NOT qualified to be a president and is at this point as bad as bush.

Most GS wannabe republicans weren't old enough to remember how utterly crappy Bush was. This coupled with the fact that it's cool to hate the establishment has led to a hefty amount of kidson GS turning into mini Glenn Becks.

Aw so the only possible way someone could be against Obama is that they must be young. I thought all the young people in general loved Obama hence why so many of them voted for him.

[QUOTE="testfactor888"] Aw so the only possible way someone could be against Obama is that they must be young. I thought all the young people in general loved Obama hence why so many of them voted for him.

Yeah, I'd say one of the major things that got him the Presidency was all the hype of websites like youtube where groups largely composed of people too young to vote were going on about "OMG CHAAAANGE." Regardless that they couldn't vote, it was still good fuel for the hype train. Anywho...
Why so much hate on Obama? TC
Because not everyone agrees with his policies or likes his character.
