Perhaps it's not clear to rock bands that they should please you then...It just does, I dont like it. Its not somthin I would do as a rock star....

It adds to the image the sound is trying to create. Also in some respect, it changes stuff from being just a normal guy on stage.
For the same reason a bunch of people have stage names... you know, because if it were simply David Robert Jones on stage it wouldn't have the same effect as David Bowie because DRJ is just a person, whereas Bowie is a megastar...
It is hard to explain, but it sort of divides us normal people from the rockstars...
And perhaps to a lesser extent it is a way for musicians themselves to differentiate between the person on stage and the person they really are. I doubt most rock musicians are the same on stage as they would be in starbucks...

I seem upset.:| I can assure you I'm not. The guy in my sig makes awesome music. Doesn't matter what he uses on stage as long as the music is good. Though I suspect in his case he hides his real self behind the make up. Don't know for sure.....don't care. It's the music that counts.;)You seem upset, sorry my opinion doesnt please you.
