Why was my thread locked just before?

I had a thread asking people how they liked my new sig and avatar. And it go locked. I wasn't harming or offending anyone. What's the deal with that? Seriously, this is rediculous.

To be fair with him, I don't think trolls spend a few months on GameSpot using an account for regular things and then, after 1.3k posts, start trolling.
