They are fine for walking; no one in their right mind would ever use them as running shoes, or to hike with and they can be used to replace sandals...
You argument is ridiculous.

Nothing that they do, something else doesn't do better. That's my main point, and I'm not sure where in your "rebuttal" you demonstrated otherwise.
EDIT: Hold on here; let me nitpick-proof this. Crocs do very, very little that something else doesn't do better. The little they do does not explain their moderate popularity.
or to wear when you plan on getting wet, like at the cottage, or washing your.

What?
I'm not trying to argue that Crocs are the universal do-everything-shoe, because they're not; I don't even think Crocs the company think that they are.All I'm saying is that they do have a purpose to some people, myself being one of them.To me they have about as much in common with flip flops or sandals and since I don't care for wearing either of those, Crocs get the job done. For running, I wear running shoes, for hiking I wear hiking shoes, for walking I wear whatever I feel I need to wear and that may include Crocs.
To my last quoted comment I intended to write "or to wear when you plan on getting wet, like at the cottage, or washing yourcar."………activities where your feet will get wet AND may require some sort of footwear, in that scenario, Crocs are perfect.
