Will the Particle Collider and 12/21/2012 have anything to do with each other?

But i dont really believe the whole 2012 thing but im just wondering your opinions about it. And whether or not you believe in it, you KNOW that the day before 12/21/2012, you'll be at least a little nervous.

That is unsportman like, it is a win win situation, if (or more appropriately) "when" this doesn't happen you get to "lol" but if (or more appropriately) in the highly unlikely-ness of the world ending and everyone dies you cannot be "loled" at because everyone will cease to exist, thus this theory being, "you get the last laugh or everyone dies" ... but seriously I hope you get to laugh :P

particle colliders will be used to create energy from creating blackholes, and they will also create black matter. black matter is believed to have been present at the beginning of creation of our solar system. so i guess i sorta get the gist of what a particle collider does and will be used for, but yet it still troubles me inside to know that men and women are creating man-made blackholes here on the earth even if the blackholes are microscopic. even the brightest scientists can't foresee what the outcome may be from doing this. the last i heard about the particle collider in Europe (i believe that's where it's located) ran a test back in September where they fired a beam of protons around the 17 mile ring and it was successful, but that's a lot different than actually colliding the particles. we can't stop them from colliding the particles so i guess we will all have to wait and see if anything negative ever comes from this particle collider.

They already turned it on back in September guys...

yeah, they did turn it on, but it was just to make sure that the particles could and would go around the 17 mile track. not to collide the particles into one another. btw, that pic where the one scientist looks like the guy from Half Life is frickin' awesome, and that tool the other guy is holding is a torque wrench, but your right it does look very similar to that of a crow bar. good stuff :D
