this is something i've been thinking alot about.....it may have also inspired me to study physics.............do u think the human race will be able to reach out to the stars, and touch other worlds one day............i supposed playing mass effect too much lately has generated the question

Yeah we will probably all die out from some major disaster or war,but if i do die,i hope that i come back in the far future so i can live out my dream of owning my own space ship,and getting me and my friends to go on a perilous adventure through the galaxy!Awesome!

while finding or creating Mass Relays would be a great evolution for mankind, i think we'll exterminate ourselves first

yes if we work together for world peace and fix the problems we have facing us today then we can move on to spend all are money on a space program instead of spending money on wars

I don't think Faster-than-light travel is possible, because you'd appear to be in a different place than your actual location.

I'm sure there's someone more articulate than I that can explain it better.

There is no reason to believe that FTL travel is possible; absent evidence or some theoretical framework with more substance than a Star Trek boxed set, there is no more reason to believe that FTL is possible than telepathy or everyone on earth simultaneously sprouting pixie wings.
