Given the current economic outlook, I believe that I will be less wealthy than my parents. Both of my parents had opportunities during the 80s and 90s that I truly can't even dream of. They were both able to attain management positions in different companies, bought a very nice house on a big piece of land, always had two nice cars, put their kids through college, etc.

I'm happy with my life, but I don't think I'll ever be able to accomplish the things that they did, the money just isn't there and short of magically getting a job over some elite Harvard guy it never will be. This is despite the fact that I'm just as educated as my parents are. I would say that the outlook for middle-class people like me is fairly grim.

About equal, since I plan on living off of them for life.

Since I'm never going to be a jet setting executive, less wealthy. Much so...until it becomes mine that is.

Well, I'd like to be more wealthy, but I can't tell the future.

A little more or around the same. Both my parents are in fields that are far from high paying.

Probably about the same. My mom is a civil engineer, and I plan to be a software engineer.

Doesn't matter, as long as were all happy.

Wealthier probably, but only because my parents are poor.

Ideally I will be more wealthy than my mother, who made just enough to get by. I'd like to live without ever having to worry about not being able to pay my bills. But whether that will actually happen is yet to be seen.

Almost certainly less. My dad's a mechanical engineer and my mom's a university professor. My chosen career field is not exactly high paying, but I'm certainly not in it for the money. However, my wife is well on track to being a radiologist, so perhaps I'll just bask in her reflected glory. And money.

I certainly hope that I make more than my parents. We are actually pretty poor by American standards. But that is assuming I don't mess up somehow and drop out of college.

I've already surpassed my parents in wealth. I now have to reach unprecedented levels of wealth and power.

If we're going purely on money I'm already richer than my parents lol. Possessions...probably not until they die. It's hard to surpass 2 houses, 1 property and 6 vehicles as a 21 year old.

Significantly wealthier than both of them combined. Granted, that's not saying too much, but I do plan to be rather well off by the time I am their age.

Definitely more. I've only been through 2 years of university and I'm making $52k a year. I expect that to double once I get another 2 out of the way. Not planning on having a wife or kids either, so I'm quite confident I will have more money than they ever did. And I plan on paying them back for being such darn good parents.

Maybe equal. My dad has a nice job but it's still tough to support a four member family.

Hopefully more wealthy than they are, I want to be able to pay for my kids college if they don't have the funding for it right away.
