Because College Football should have a playoffs format and not a system in which voters decide which team should play for the Championship instead of deciding things on the field. Before I vote, why would I boycott it?
Johnny_Rock
Nope I honestly don't care since I don't watch sports but that doesn't mean I want to boycott against something I don't watch.

College is for education. You are thinking too much about enjoyment for yourself. Those players are kids and get injured.
No.
This is just great. If Alabama wins and Oklahoma state blows out Stanford, this will breed more chaos.

lmao. You have any idea the revenue athletics bring in to schools like LSU and Alabama? That's basically their whole shtick. Colleges might like you to think it's about higher education, but as most things are it's a huge cash cow.Honeslty, even if Alabama wins, how could you say they were national champions? LSU already beat them once, won their conference, and played a tougher schedule. We may as well just give the title to LSU since they have a better resume.
[QUOTE="DroidPhysX"]It would breed more if LSU wins again. How?No.

There are already conference championships, playoffs will make them play as long as a NFL season if you include that.

Ha, they don't have a playoffs system because the BCS makes more money and they think they are preserving the importance of the regular season.Alabama winning the title game woud make them national champions.
That doesn't necessarily mean they'r the best team a la Super Bowl 42.
[QUOTE="The_Zoid"][QUOTE="DroidPhysX"]It would breed more if LSU wins again. How?It implies Alabama had no business being there. As opposed to say OSU who might have won. In all honestly what's wrong with this setup? LSU vs Stanford Alabama vs OSU Winners play. It's more fair, only adds one more game. And can you honestly say anyone outside the top 4 truly deserves it?No.

Hey, I don't know either. I think the playoffs would make more money even if the "preserving the regular season" argument has some merit.they should have a playoff format of some sort, but it would take a solid 2 months to do if you were to give all of the legitimate contenders playoff spots, because there are a lot of schools out there
It wouldn't. Just take the top 6 teams, top 2 highest seeded CONFERENCE winners get a bye and so on. Should take no more than a month to complete.they should have a playoff format of some sort, but it would take a solid 2 months to do if you were to give all of the legitimate contenders playoff spots, because there are a lot of schools out there

Not everyone is a legitimate contender. Let's look at the BCS standings. Only really the top 4 would be competitive. 1. LSU - obviously 2. Alabama - obviously 3. OSU - Definite contender 4. Stanford - Definite contender 5. Oregon - Already lost to LSU by 13, not a contender 6. Arkansas - Lost to both LSU and Bama, lolno 7. Boise State - Sorry, but there really is no chance here 8. K-State - Blown out by OU, lost to OSU close. Wouldn't contend for title though 9. South Carolina - No 10. Wisconsin - Nothey should have a playoff format of some sort, but it would take a solid 2 months to do if you were to give all of the legitimate contenders playoff spots, because there are a lot of schools out there

Woop, forgot about that one. Scratch Stanford being a contender. Though I still think 4 would work best, unless there was a OSU Bama play-in game to play LSU.i boycott any game that alabama and lsu play. not only are they boring ass teams to watch but its pretty much the redneck bowlmems_1224Those rednecks could sure play considering they're the top 2 teams.

I'm not watching it. It's a meaningless game. Even if Alabama wins LSU still has the more impressive body of work, and if OSU wins that's just going to add more chaos. You can't really argue that Alabama is the #1 team in the country when they split with LSU, and had a much easier schedule than either LSU or OSU.
OSU is ranked 107 out of 120 in defense. They would of gotten smashed by LSU.I'm not watching it. It's a meaningless game.
