Hollywood is well and truly devoid of any new ideas at the moment now though. The writers strike in particularly wouldn't have helped.

Its a difficult film to make a movie of because the join of the game was the customisation of your character, choosing which powers to use on enemies. It could end up too much like a superhero movie or something.

Also you could always go back through the game and find new bits of the story. Most of us familiar with BS already know the twist. They'll probably change it heaps from the game. John Logan is a very talented screen writer, i'll be interested to see how he goes with this.

We say that with every video game-to-movie adaptation but the end result is always an epic fail and a huge middle finger to us. :(

Boring? You are absolutely insane. Bioshock is one of my favorite games.

It has a decent enough director behind it, but it's still way too early to decide. Filming hasn't even started yet, and a cast has yet to be announced.

It could work better as a movie. I thought the demo was an utter let down. The second I got past picking up a wrench I was instantly reminded of condemned, but on acid.

A film could definately be pulled off better though.
