You can't. Vista's like that. Wait for the downgrade.

he must have agreed on that earlier when asked . Besides, you could always have the option to not reboot after each update untill they're all finished.

Open Windows Task Manager (ALT+CTRL+DEL) and look for a process called 'waudll.exe' or something like that, keep it inmind

now do .... Start - Control Panel - Administrative Tools - Services

when Services opens up, scroll to the bottom and look for Windows Update/Windows Automatic Update, ... dbl click the service name and change startup type from Automatic to Manual/Disabled.

People here are computer illterate, and the guy who says Ubuntu I am sure has no idea what he is talking about, because if they can't use Windows, they won't like their excellent Linux .Just go to the update manager and disable that update.

[QUOTE="Free_Marxet"]www.ubuntu.com good fix.

he said make it stop updating, not ask for a new OS. I hate asking people on the internet for anything because they continue to waste my time with stupid answers.

Mine started doing that. I think one of the updates has an error on it. I had to boot from my Vista cd and do a system restore from the day before.

IMO updating the platform doesn't really do squat to the performance of the OS. what i've noticed that it does do is it makes my pc use more ram than before the update, but that's just probably my own experience with updating.
