I agree, but i'm staying here until the end.
This site would still be awesome if it lost 1,000 members
There are always things to do away from the computer. Go outside...read a book...write a letter...don't completely concern yourself with the business of GS.chicknfeet
Yeah, I mean, why would anyone who visits gamespot want to waste their time talking about gamespot? Its not like they're fans or users of the site or anything.
Anyway I don't really come to GS except for the forums these days. I get my news/previews/reviews from other sources.
if gerstman hadnt been giving out flawed reviews (such as his criticism of shadowrun) and eating everybody elses' lunches out of the break room fridge, if he had worn a t-shirt that was big enough instead of a L, if he had not tried to rule gamespot with an iron fist, THEN i would care. however, i happen to think that gerstmans firing was a good thing. Navarro can leave too, its not like hes irreplaceable either.
i am a fan of the users of the site, and of the people that own the company and its affiliates, all my homies.

There is always the community... Personally, I don't come here for Video Game news/reviews.MattUD1
yeah, I got to IGN for reviews, but really, it's a lot of fun to watch things like "On The Spot" and "Tournament TV" For FREE, unlike IGN that makes you subscribe for some stupid "insider" articles that you can find on here for free.
I mean c'mon, how many game review sites are gonna have a show where the host accidently shoots the camera with an airsoft gun?
I have been a paying member here for a long time. The exodus of decent editor, after decent editor is bad news. I do not come here solely for the community aspects. I could care less about the point based review system it is inherantly flawed anyway; the reasons whywe like games are pretty much non-quantifiable.
I came herebecause of reviewers/editors like Kasavin, Gershtmanand Navarro whotold me what they thought of agame positive or negative. They wouldnt make my mind up for me but they always give meinformation enough to decide for myself. They weren't mouth breathing fanboys who blind themsleves to the weaknesses of their favorite platform or publisher. they were just gamers with a forum to voice their opinions.
I don't really care why they have left I justnotice that less and less decent site content comes out now that they are gone.
I have long forgotten GS' reviews, since they don't like PS3, one of my favorite systems.
I stopped liking their reviews and the like when Kasavin left. He was my favorite, he did his job well and professionally. He knew what he was talking about. Jeff was another one of my favorites, mainly for his comical elements in his reviews and his knowledge.
The forums, news, videos, screenshots are what keeping me coming back.
