He was so funny last night, he had everyone fooled. I so believed he was going to announce his plans to run for the Presidency of the United States. Althought, I wish he would.

What exactly did gore win? He didn't produce the movie. He just appeared in it. Plus I think he's gone too far to the right with the Global Environment issue. Rightly or wrongly, when you run and you want to be successful, you have to veer towards the middle.

Yes but all the publicity he was gotten, and with the movie winning it further pushes the need for dealing with global warming. I think the Gore should of won, not Bush, and most people relize this, and with this movie winning it further shows that he would do more to stop global warming, and i think it would help his chances.

He won for best documentary and for some reason Melissa Ethridge won best song (that song was pretty lousy). And I think this global warming issue isn't really a right or left issue, it is something that effects everyone. He might have been leaning towards the left when he made the movie, but it is a global issue.

Maybe. He should run. He's probably one of the very few politicians who would try to put regulations and restrictions back on the oil companies. I doubt he'd win though. If it came down to him vs Barack vs Clinton. Gore'd have my vote. At least I know what issues he plans on bringing to the table.

Too bad there is no popular vote to win, it's an electoral college (designed to dillute the power of big population centers). And and to bring another point up, did Gore win anything? It wasn' this movie, he was featured in it, but he didn't direct/produce the movie. He is not listed in the acadamy site as a winner, and I heard they had to make an exception to allow him onstage if the documentary won. I really don't think Gore won anything.

I understand exactly how the electoral process works. reguardless of what the electoral college said, the fact remains that the people did want Gore to be their president.

We already have Obama, and Al Gore shouldnt destroy the image he has right now. The one thing I didnt like about the Documentary was when Al Gore talked about the election, and how he was cheated.

But still Im happy that people have recognized AL Gore's efforts...:)

i like al gore a lot. i think we would be in a much better situation right now if he was our president, and i hope he runs. he would be a much better candidate than hilary clinton in my opinion, and he has more expierence than obama. i personally like obama more than gore, but i would prefer gore run this year and then obama run in 8 years when he is more experienced.

Amen, the thing about these Liberals is they want you to reduce all your energy consumption, and change your life while they are the exception. Someone was telling me how he flies all over the world promoting his documentary and preaching about Global Warming. Hmmmmm. I wonder how he does that? his own Private Jet perhaps? Using massive amounts of fuel?

Thats BS, while I cannot deny he probably has flown on commerical airlines, it is publicly known he has used his private jet more than a few times. this private jet is also 4 times more harmful to the environment than a commerical airliner.

I've researched Global Warming and don't believe it to be true (2% of Antartica is melting while the rest is growing at 36.8 gigatons per year and sea levels have yet to rise though i do believe hybids can help the environment in other ways and CO2 should be reduced) so i believe he shouldn't run

i'll help to clear up something on here. Gore didn't win the academy award, but was invited on stage anyway. The producer ( i believe) of the film won the oscar. Gore was holding the oscar, because the producer handed it to him when he went to speak.

No.  I don't think he'd make a good President.

By the way I voted for him in 2000, but for the wrong reasons.  And he is a hypocrite if he doesn't practice what he preaches.
