OT, we should really stop giving bad advice on girl help threads.

Obviously there is more to this story. The fact that she was shot in the ankle is just weird in general.

With that being said women should just be giving out fake numbers or their real numbers anyway in these types of situations. In this particular one I don't think it would have helped because if the guy pulled out a weapon I doubt he would have departed peacefully if she just gave the number. It's fairly standard for girls to give out their numbers anyway to creepy guys or guys they aren't interested in just to eject from conversations without being awkward. Then they just don't return phone calls.

She probably insulted the guy/called him a loser or something. Obviously she doesn't deserve getting shot over this but if you're going to hang around with people who are strapped you probably should be more prudent.
