I know this is a little adult / heavy for this board but I am involved in a custody/contact case with my daughter and I'm getting the feeling that women can do just about anything and get away with it. There seems to be a presumption that women are basically good & any problems in a family relationship must be somehow caused by the man. Women -or at least the woman in my case - can lie in and out of court, cruelly manipulate her child, and generally act against the best interests of the child and........nothing. I guess in the end, it's not against the law to be a total b***c.

That doesn't really disprove his point, I'm not agreeing with him but one case doesn't exactly prove he's wrong, that woman could have been crazy or something.

It depends entirely on the demeanor and bias of the judge..

It's true. It's long been assumed that women have a special bond with the child they were carrying around inside them for 9 months and breastfeeding afterwards. The prejudice arose from the fact that neglectful parents, more often than not, seem to be men. It's very difficult for the courts to get over that prejudice in each individual case, especially when so many custody battles are just a means for partners to emotionally blackmail one another. Actually weeding all of the lies out of the two sole, opposing testimonies is near impossible.

That's how the courts work, not much you can do about it.

the father can do the exact same thing, so what is your point? personally if the mother was in fine mental state, didnt abandon her children etc, I would give her children to her, since she bore and birthed them. Sexist maybe, but the day a male (nobody put a picture of that f-to-m sex change man) naturally births a child, then I'll see it as more fair.

Women get far more than the benefit of the doubt. You can literally have pictures of the woman stark-drunk and testimonies from the woman's own mother and the court will go "But the baby needs the mama!" and give the dad supervised visitation every two weeks.

It's sickening.

Well as long as she's producing her own semen that's a fair conclusion.

If its a girl but if is a boy is better to stay with his father. To topic, if she doesn't work I think you can pull the "stability" card on the court man.

They consider the woman as the primary caregiver and woman will always be the custodial parent, unless you can prove that she is an unfit mother. They consider the men as the primary provider, which means one thing "child support". It sucks. I have been through it to. The best thing to do is to try to keep an good relationship with the mother, so she won't drag you through the courts. If she do, you lose. I wish someone gave me that advice.

It is so true. I know a guy who was arrested because his girlfriend said he hit her. He sat in jail for 3 days and she put a restraining order on him. He gets out and she calls him to come over her place to talk. When he gets there, the cops pulled up 2 minutes later. She called the cops and told them he was there. He got arrested again and had to sit in jail for 30 days before he went to court because he violated a previous restraining order. She totally set him up.

Well, I see your point. But have you thrown up all day and night for three or more months, then had to give birth to a child, averaging about 5-7 lbs, have your vagina stretched to the size of a coffee can and possibly require it to be cut open to safely pass the baby? Or having your stomach cut open to retrieve a child via cesarean, and then have your stomach stapled shut? I mean basically you're just jerking it into a vagina something you do minus the vagina daily, probably multiple times. I am quite interested to know if that results in you vomitting, gaining a lot of weight and basically wrecking your body. If so I think you should see a doctor. and by the way, it takes five minutes to donate to a sperm bank, and from what I've heard, at least 3 months to donate eggs.

I think it's supposed to be the fact that women are supposed to have that maternal instinct. I've seen plenty of cases where the mother loses their kids though.
