Women/Girls of OT, I come to you with a question.

I've always wondered, do women really think that a manplaying an instrument makes him more sexy/attractive in a way? You see it in TV shows all the time, where the female protagonist will be flustered with the male protagonist because of his good looks, but she seems to fall in love with him on sight of seeing him play an instrument, among other things.

So, women and girls of OT, I ask this?Could a man playing an instrument make you more attracted to him?

yes deifinately. its super sexy for many reasons first of all just simply being able to play an instrument and if they can sing just makes me melt! It shows they are passionate about something and dedicated/ devoted which once again i find very attractive. I adore it!

Yes. It's true. And they don't even have to play an instrument. I was the front man for a local punk band in the early 00's, and I had more ass thrown at me during that stint than any other time in my life. Unfortunately coders don't get many horney groupies following them around.

This might not be the answer you want to here, but I couldn't care less if a guy plays an instrument or not. It's not a deciding factor when dating a guy. I'm not picky, just having a tolerable face that doesn't need a bag and a sense of humour is enough to win me over.

It comes down to certain taste I guess, I certainly wouldn't refuse to date a guy if he played a guitar >.>

I think I prefer a guy who doesn't obsess over an instrument. They're noisy and time consuming and we can't talk or hang out while he's playing. I'm not into that whole mushy thing where a guy sings to a girl and it's so special and yadda yadda. And music just is not my thing in general.

It can be, depends on the person. Some girls like guys with blonde hair, others like it brown, some prefer red. While it certainly isn't necessary, it is a favored preference. Most people have some sort of rough idea of how they envision their significant other.

I know how to play a couple of instruments myself, so it generally interests me when someone else does too. But if the guy is a loser, then just happens to be musically inclined, my first opinion is not going to change. I guess...It's rather a bonus than a deal breaker :P
