A picture of a polar bear would help.

I'm not sure what its like being awake for the process (I got put under for mine) but I do know the first 48 hours after is the worst. Keep the pain killers handy.
If they are all fully exposed, then it won't be bad, if they aren't exposed at all, then it won't be bad, if any are "partly exposed" then the worst that will happen is that you're going to have a tender spot for a week, but other than that, you'll be fine.
I actually had fun getting them taken out, the stuff they use to sedate you is AWESOME!
I've had two taken out....
Got them upstairs in this little vampire teeth case thing. funny yes.
I'm thinking about putting them onto a necklace to wear... Just have to figure out how to attatch them. hmm...
[QUOTE="gobo212"]Whatever you do, DON'T get a dry socket. They hurt A LOT!Tiefster
-but it can happen, you'll be fine as long as you keep clean.
All 4?!? How are you going to eat after that!
A friend of mine got all 4 removed and couldn't eat anything hot/hard for like 3 days.
I got my wisdom teeth removed 2 at a time. It's great because I can eat anything on one side without infecting the other. I would highly recommend doing this.
By the way, the extraction itself is nothing to be worried about. You can't feel anything and it's real quick. The needle hurt a bit, but if you only get one side extracted it'll be done in no time.

I got all 4 taken out and I was just fine, I just wasn't allowed to use a straw, that's it.

lol yeah, I had the same thing, it was crooked at the end, but yeah my 'program' was: no straw, I could eat whatever after the second day, and, I used the syringe thingy to clean out the sockets. I heard you can still get dry sockets like, a month later though, so I didn't use a straw for quite a while.
WOW! Memory Lane...hmm
Well I am sure they gave instructions not to eat anything prior, they will put yah to sleep, do their work, make sure u got a ride home, lots of gauze, rinsing, more guaze, rest, pills, and eating alot of ice cream, STOCK UP ON ICE CREAM!!
I remember mines very well, got it done on a Thursday afternoon, and was back to work on Monday. recovered well, also I asked my surgeon to show me to the teeth, he did, THEIR MASSIVE!
Good Luck, and take pics, yeah pics, what the hell, you will swell up pretty bad, mr. chipmunk.
why do people take out their wisdom teethnonsoville2
People have them taken out because for most people, they come in crooked and push against the other teeth causing extreme pain. But some people have them come in straight, like my dad he still has all of his.
i got mine taken out at Camp Foster, Okinawa while on deployment. All I got was 800mg of ibuprofen and about 20 (seriously) Novocaine shots. For me, the dentist put shattered the tooth (all four) by putting extreme pressure on them and then sucked out the fragments. He even had to prop his leg on my chest (they gave me a chest pad) so he could get enough leverage to put enough on the tooth for it to shatter. It's sounds horrible but honestly...I felt nothing painful. One hour, all four teeth were done and I was walking out of the office. Wasn't bad at all....for me at least.aschuhart
That is ****ing hardcore dude.
One of mine was at a 30 degree angle (so more horizontal than vertical) and I had it cracked and taken out in 2 parts. The other bottom one was also hard to take out, but not as bad as the first one. My teeth in the top were fast, 5 seconds each.
I had my wisdom teeth taken out in the middle of January, so I still remember the pain. The terrible angled one I mentioned caused my left side of my face to swell WAY beyond what is normal, or known as "chipmunk cheeks." It took exactly 16 days for my face to return to normal.
What's to worry about? You get time off of school/work, you get "happytime candy" and if anything goes wrong you get lots of money. And if you clean the teeth afterward you can make a sweet neklacelycrof
they gave you your teeth? the first thing i did after they pulled mine is ask for them. they wouldnt let me have them and i was too drugged up to argue.
I had four pulled at once. By the last one the anasthetic was starting to wear off so that wasn't cool, but the drugs afterwards were good!
I've had a few operations in my days so it doesn't bug me that much. The worst part is the stiches afterwards. They don't hurt but they're really annoying.
my friend got his pulled a few summers ago
he dissapeared for 2 weeks afterwards and told us after that his face had puffed up so much
