Ok so I'm tryin to make my chest bigger and more defined. I've been doing pushups everyday and just started back on doing bench press (been about a month since I last did it). Any tips?

incline bench presses are really good if you can do them, but yeah, if you bench and do push-ups and don't see results in the first couple weeks, make sure you bring up the intensity up a few notches, make sure you feel a good burn, and make sure to stay hydrated, if you take protein supplements, they help a lot too.

You want definition? it'a all about the diet, and swimming is the best aerobic excercise you can do. And forget the pushups and just lift. Do bench, incline bench, decline bench, and flys. 2 weeks with the staight bar then 2 weeks with dumbells for a bigger all around chest. But work everything not just your damn chest. End up looking like a freakin chickin. Big'ol upper body with 2 sticks for legs.

How do you feel about cable exercises though? I lift on the bench but I live in Texas so it rains a lotin the summe so I was planning to buy a cable machine for inside (bench is outside).

Not exactly. more like the ones that you have to use the pin to adjust the number of plates you want to lift.

It depends. everyone's different. You have to feel it out. If you don't have a spot do what you know you can get. Then slowly increace the weight. Add 5 pounds a week or so. I'd recomend some whey protein aswell. Make sure you're almost at muscle failure at the end of the set.

Machine weights are good, but free weights are better. Free weights work your stablizers much more, and give you more range of motion. The machines will get the job done as you don't seem to want to be a bodybuilder or anything. They're safer too. BTW I live in Texas also, it doesn't rain all that much.
