Holy crap in a hand basket. This was a damn good book, I posted on here few days ago asking aobut good zombie books, and i managed to get one at library yesterday. I could not put it down, it was so full of heartache and horror, and yet I couldn't stop reading it. Some of the scenes you were givin were awe inspiring. Almost impossible to try to imagine. If anyone enjoyed Cell by King or anything like it, check this book out.

I read it a few months ago and was absolutely blown away. Easily one of the best books I've ever read. There's a movie due out this year and hopefully it'll be just as good.

This doesn't have anything to do with Dragonball Z, does it?

...

or gundams perhaps?

Very cool book to be sure. I was quite surprised, given that I read the author's comedic zombie survival guide before reading World War Z.

I've heard the audiobook version is pretty good too. Would be interesting it being like actual interviews. I hope he does another book set in World War Z, maybe a prequel or a book with a more set plot, not interviews, in one of the countries during the War. Mayve at that group of colleges that fended off attack for so long. Id love it.

I saw that,it seems that Brad Pitt may be taking the seat for the main character.

I'm interested to see how it will turn out. Wasn't the main character (the person doing the interviews) supposed to be the actual writer, Max Brooks? It would also be odd for a big actor like Brad Pitt to portray a character that gets little to no attention, seeing as how in the book, the focus was always on the people being interviewed and not the interviewer.

no,Max Brooks wrote the book.It may have focused more on those being interviewed but the interviewer was the main character.

I read a little bit of it but couldn't get into it. Neither could I get into ZSG.

I'm really picky now about what horror I read.

The method of writing got dull half way through, seems like a lazy way out of writing. But, he still was able to capture the sheer destruction of such a zombie apacolypse better than any movie or game I can think of. Overall I'd say it's 7/10 or so, because the "interview" style of writing seemed to allow him to hold back details. Plus, you never get to know what the sunken thing that made the zombie plague is in the first place.

I read the survival guide after WWZ and I barely made it through the guide. Honestly the only good part, in my history loving mindset was when he gave the dates and locations of historical solanum outbreaks.
