When it comes to theatrical releases, or shows on Network Television, are there any Actors/Actresses that stand out and make you /facepalm?

I'm not talking about no-named Actors, I'm talking about well-known actors who are good when the pick the right projects.

i agree, at least Shia the Beef fits the role he's doing, regardless of the fact he in real life is actually strikingly similar to the role he takes, but Megan Fox just doesn't have any excuse whatsoever

I'd have to go with Megan Fox also. I'm sorry, she is hot as hell but my GOD she couldn't act her way out of a wet paper bag. It's just painful to listen to her speak. She's dumb as a tree stump also.

Will Wheaton? He was great in that role. You might not have liked the character but he is a great actor.

Nicolas Cage has been in some bad movies lately, but he's certainly not a bad actor. I'll go with Jessica Alba. I would do unspeakable things to her over and over again, but she can't act.

matthew mcconaughey was particularly atrocious in we are marshall. he spoke with a bizarre slant in his mouth (completely fabricated from the real life figure for no particular reason other than to look stupid) that gave him an on again off again speach impediment. its like he got hit in the side of the face with a shovel. the worst part is that the slant changes sides all the time over the course of the film.

The worst acting I remember is Nick Cage in National Treasure.

Besides MST3K movies, of course. If we include those, it would be one of the "actors" in Laserblast.

Again though, I feel like she was good in Adventureland and The Runaways. I'll most likely have a real opinion on her after I see her in "Welcome to the Riley's". Its to bad everyone thats in Twilight gets a reputation as a bad actor. Anna Kendrick was quite good in Up in the Air as well. Kate Hudson in Bride Wars was bad. I don't know how I ever got through that movie.
